Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

I don't buy in to any "conspiracy theory" regarding this countdown either. After I read that blog entry yesterday, I checked the whois for the domain and found it funny that it is registered by someone in Paris, of all places. Probably a registrar in Buenos Aires would have scared me a lit...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

Some of the interpretations of TSHOTP are pretty interesting, but the writer seems like he is having some serious mental issues. Might be reading a little too much into it all. That said, I did find speculation about this countdown timer pretty interesting: http://www.falseprophet-hq.com/ Do you th...

Same here, rerun outside the US around the same time. I was turned off by the hype around the show's initial run here in Germany, and thought "what is this Twin Peaks crap?" ;-) Besides we didn't have cable at home at the time.

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

Though German voice dub that was used for TP airing back in the 90's (I was stuck with a couple of VHS-recorded German episodes I've caught on cable as the only source to feed my TP obsession for a good number of years since we didn't have the VCR when TP originally aired in my country and didn't r...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

I just found this, a German version of the audio book, scheduled for a mid-November release: https://www.jpc.de/jpcng/books/detail/-/art/mark-frost-twin-peaks/hnum/3859738 Apparently read by a single person, Stefan Kaminski, who in the promo text is praised for his "voice morphing" techni...

Re: TP Season 1 & FWWM soundtracks set for new vinyl reissues

Can't believe it has taken 2 ½ years from the announcement to actually being available to buy! I assume that the release dates were pushed back a bit to be closer to when the new episodes will be aired. This way the soundtrack re-released coincide with the release of Mark Frost's book and - I guess...

Hank Worden (Senor Droolcup) in 1978 Clint Eastwood movie

Recently I watched "Every Which Way But Loose", a 1978 film starring Clint Eastwood. It's kinda campy and fun to watch ;-) Of special interest to Twin Peaks fans might be the appearance of Hank Worden (Senor Droolcup/The Waiter). He plays the manager of a trailer park... and in this role i...

Casting/Auditioning

I just started reading John Thorne's book, "The Essential Wrapped in Plastic". In the chapter on Season One, some of the actors describe the casting/auditioning process (similar descriptions can be found in other works on Lynch, of course). Lynch seems to (never?) have anyone read for a pa...

From yesterday's Mondo newsletter:
"... for those hoping this was a Twin Peaks update, I’ll just say this: it is in production and we’ll have a release date for you very, VERY soon!"

Hang on to your seats!

Re: Xiu Xiu Twin Peaks RSD release

Hey guys, I saw Xiu Xiu playing the music of Twin Peaks yesterday, April 10, in Offenbach, Germany. One word: amazing. Anyone who gets a chance to see them, do it. I particularly enjoyed the band's performance of Into the Night and Sycamore Trees, with Jamie Stewart on vocals. Falling was beautiful....

Re: Terrence Malick's Knight of Cups, featuring Don Davis

So, the answer is apparently yes and no. I saw the movie yesterday and was kind of amazed when I realized it was Major Briggs speaking. And it is. I thought, "How cool that Malick is making a direct allusion to Lynch." But it's not actually a clip from the show, per se, it's from this son...

Cool, looking forward to drinking some coffee with him that was freshly brewed a couple of days ago.

I heard Charlotte Stewart is coming as well.
