Bluray Question
So, I haven't been on the site for a long time, and read about the Bluray boxset debacle. Do the audio errors extend to ALL of Lynch's Blurays, or just the boxset? A similar thing happened with the initial pressings of the Beatles vinyl boxset. The regular LPs were fine, while the boxset sucked.

Definitely. That's something I take to heart creatively, as well.

Re: Anthony Hopkins and Lynch
It seems as Lynch got older, he didn't do as many takes. I know in Inland Empire, he didn't care if actors got all the right lines, but the general feeling of the scene. The latter is known to infuriate Hopkins, who memorizes his lines and always insists on staying as close to the script as possible.

I do not agree.Black Rose wrote:I'll tell you what: Inception would have been an EPIC film with a script rewrite and DL at the helm.
(As it was, it sucked.)
Lynch, if Fincher was not up for it, could direct either the Girl Who Played With Fire or Kicked The Hornets Nest.

Re: Any Updates of the Blue Velvet Blu Ray Contest?
Has anyone watched the Blu Ray? Is it noticeably better than the DVD, and does it have any extra features different than the DVD?

Re: Third Annual David Lynch Foundation Benefit Gala
What a disturbing image. I wasn't pleased with my experience with the DLF. Guys behind the scenes were really helpful, but there isn't anyone teaching TM near me. Doesn't the DLF help students by paying for their lessons? The only person I found willing to teach me didn't even mention the DLF ...

Re: Link between Eraserhead and FWWM
I sometimes think every Lynch production is in the same universe. Perhaps Eraserhead represents a beginning, and films like MD and Inland are near the end.

Re: Guitar?
There were couple of guitarists involved with Lynch/Badalamenti productions at that time, I only remember one of them: it was Vinnie Bell, a session guitarist who has quite a discography if you check his site http://www.vinniebell.com/ if I recall right he was more prominent on the soundtrack. BTW ...

I'm sure Jeffery would get it once he watches the movie as many times as you have.
