Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Also, regarding the glove guy killing off Bob, isn't it the opposite of the mood built up in the original? Should the scene be viewed as a parody or an art installation? More like film school student than the Lynch of old?

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Isn't the big difference between the original and S3 that you became invested in the characters of the former, but almost not at all with those in S3?

Why so little of Grace Zabriskie?

Zabriskie turned in the most chilling/horrifying performance among the characters in S3. So, why use her so little?

A let down on the same level as almost leaving Ray Wise out completely.

No Ray Wise?

Anyone know why he was only in S3 for a few seconds?

The Return - too many redudant storylines?

Although it's disappointing that the warmth and small town feel of the original has been all but absent in the Return (Lynch being too unfiltered?), I think this is still a lesser problem. The Return's biggest flaw is that it could probably have been cut down in half without losing much of its impac...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Focus on the art not the artist right? The closing musical segments have never struck me as being promotional showcases for the bands, rather a way of creating a mood -> art. Just goes to show we all view things differently. They were more effective in the first few episodes though when they felt &...

Re: Eric DaRe (Leo Johnson)

Rewatching the series in its entirety for the first time in many years. What strikes me first and foremost about Windom Earle: his laughter. It makes him come across as a character straight out of MacGyver...

Re: Episode 17

Has anyone reflected over the signigicance of the elderly waiter, Briggs and Cooper all using the same thumbs up? All three share a connection to the black lodge and seem to have one foot in real life TP while the other one is in the woods, so to speak. Briggs and the waiter even make a similar sort...

Re: Episode 13

It just looks so physical, as if it's out of his control somehow. That made me think of the Bob parallell :) Could it be that Bob fed off of Harold's fear of the outside world, but that Laura had a better picture of who was taking advantage of her, while it was more of a mystery to Harold? Which in ...

Re: Episode 13

One thing I just noticed, right in the beginning, when Harold screams out his disappointment/despair of being betrayed by Donna, he tilts his head backwards in typical Bob fashion. Just a coincidence or not? Were Harold, Mrs Tremond etc all portal figures to that other world?

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

With Lee and Wise not being among the panelists, I can't help but wonder how much airtime these two key figures will get. Hopefully quite a bit since they're such an integral part of the show and its mysteries.

Re: Interview with Brad Dukes, author of Reflections

Brad,

I emailed Adlibris (probably the biggest online book store in Sweden), as they'd been selling the book before and I asked if it would be made available again. They replied saying it would be taken off the website shortly as they weren't able to get new stock. Just thought I'd pass it on.

Re: Interview with Brad Dukes, author of Reflections

Hi Brad, do you know if Reflections will be available in Sweden again? it was on bokus... and now I don't see it! I'm not sure why it dropped off. I did submit another interior for a couple of formatting things, but it should at least be saying 'out of stock' instead of not available at all. So, I'...
