Re: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Blu-ray 12/5/17

There are no deleted scenes PERIOD. We been talkin aboot this already. Says who? Sabrina Sutherland said in one of her talks there were some deleted scenes, but not too many. Didn't lurkers who saw filming in WA confirm there was a cut restaurant scene between Dr. Jacoby and Nadine? And one between...

Major Briggs and The Dream/Dreamer

Is Major Garland Briggs the key to understanding who is the dreamer? Was he the dreamer? Did he and Cooper dream the same dream, similar to how Cooper and Laura Palmer dreamed the same dream in seasons 1/2 of Twin Peaks? "But that's impossible!" - Andy Brennan. This may have been covered i...

Re: Season 3 Timeline (SPOILERS)

Oh, I agree completely. I've seen others on the board echo this as well. I think DKL very deliberately shot the scene so we would be left wondering whether or not Beverly was actually there, but I find it much more poignant if Ben is only talking to himself. Oh, good. Glad I'm not alone in that. Be...

Re: Season 3 Timeline (SPOILERS)

Another question: you place Sylvia's call to Ben on a Wednesday and the second "hum" scene (when Ben tells Beverly he can't) on a Friday. I think I understand why based on Ben's ties and the necessity of Sylvia's call happening on that particular day. However, it's problematic in a narrat...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

Still hoping to see Harry Truman (and/or Annie, Chet Desmond). And maybe a mention of Donna and/or Pete? Not expecting to see any of the above in new footage except maybe Harry. But I'm shocked we haven't gotten a Nance dedication yet. I hope it was saved for the finale. I guess I can accept that P...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

I loved this episode! A couple notes about the Gersten/Steven and Audrey/Charlie scenes in part 15: When Steven is rambling to Gersten, when he says "I'm a high school graduate" twice, that seems to be when Gersten gets a somewhat terrified look in her eyes. Could mean anything but it had ...

Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

Just to post one more thing on this: Here's the voiceover actor who did the re-take of Philip Jeffries' voice last night, confirming it in an Instagram post. Says he worked directly with David Lynch:

Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

For sure. Think of it this way: they knew Don Davis and Frank Silva were dead. There was no getting around using old footage of them, nor was there any illusion they'd have a large on screen presence, because it just wouldn't be possible. But Jeffries? He must have a critical role and as I said, Da...

Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

Wow. That's... bizarre. I wish he'd gone uncredited and I never knew it. So then a legal complication with using Bowie's voice? I can't imagine they'd go to the trouble of crediting another actor just to clean up a line of dialogue that we've already heard delivered just fine in two different takes...

Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

The actor responded to me on Twitter! He is indeed the voice of Phillip Jeffries. "I was given the surreal task of voicing the great #DavidBowie in Gordon Cole's dream sequence. Honored to be a part of #TwinPeaks" Wow. That's... bizarre. I wish he'd gone uncredited and I never knew it. So...

Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

The only error I've seen so far is they didn't credit Al Strobel's hand with the ring in part 13. Perhaps there's some rule where if they don't show your face or use your voice, you don't have to be credited? But it was definitely him, reused footage of him from part 3 after the ring falls off Doug...

Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

Yep. After a few more listens, I'm with you. Grace's voice, just in a monster tone. I have a theory about who this person credited as "Voice" may actually be in the series, even though it's a little unusual because I think he's being credited here for appearing in a different episode alto...

Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

The recording of Jeffries' line in Part 14 was neither the one from FWWM nor the Missing Pieces. It sounded like a different voice, was it even Bowie? I hadn't noticed it sounded odd but there was an actor named Nathan Frizzell credited as 'Voice.' I initially thought it was a voiceover artist doin...

Re: Part 13 - What story is that, Charlie? (SPOILERS)

Hey, remember Bailey Chase who was in the first two episodes as the state police detective who drops in on Mackley's questioning of Bill Hastings? What happened to that and what the hell was up with him? He seemed sneaky, right? Like there's something else going on there. And he took a real interest...
