Re: Season 1 episode 7 script

Woah, that's really neat if true! Interesting! Yeah, I think when somebody finally revealed that production order, it made us all realize that Miguel Ferrer and David Patrick Kelly were not really, really confused men. They had both given interviews over the years where they mentioned their first s...

Re: Season 1 episode 7 script

The masked figure goes back to Episode 2, where he was probably not intended to be Leland (and, notably, was not in the script...an on-set improvisation by Lynch perhaps?). My guess is that when they brought him back for E7, he was meant to be the same person who was backing up Leo in E2. It’s poss...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

http://www.vulture.com/2018/11/unsung-rock-books-that-inspired-jeff-jacksons-new-novel.html A Vulture article claims that Lynch is trying to get funding for a film about bluesman Robert Johnson, based on a screenplay that has already been published in book form which has attracted much attention ov...

Re: The Return Soundtrack - a complete track list?

Any thoughts on the really creepy, dreary synth stuff that plays in and around the "My Prayer" motel room sex scene in Part 18? I don't think it's heard in any other scenes in TR, and I'm assuming it's a Dean Hurley thing (hopefully we'll hear it if he puts out a Volume 2). Do you recogniz...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Somebody posted a Q&A from the Long Beach Comic Con on YouTube. Around the 35-minute mark, the cast members are asked about a possible fourth season, and about the Emmy snubs. They don't really address the fourth season but Kimmy, Sherilyn, and others indicate they blame Showtime for the absence...

Re: Season 3, The First Draft - Speculation etc.

Same. I imagine the idea for the tensions between Ben and his assistant only came up after LFB declined to appear, and Beverly was created to fill Donna's role and give Ben somebody to interact with in that office of his. Or I hope so, anyway. I have a somewhat different thought on this -- the role...

Re: Season 3, The First Draft - Speculation etc.

The finished screenplay was said to be 525 pages. I'm not sure if that refers to the total pages of the script on the day Lynch started filming in Sept 2015, or if it's the final count of the final shooting screenplay (at the conclusion of filming in April 2016).

Re: Season 3, The First Draft - Speculation etc.

A few notes on things that were confirmed in the book Room to Dream that I thought would be worth adding to this thread: Lynch and Frost submitted their script of the full (or then-full) limited series to Showtime in January 2015. That script was 334 pages. Lynch continued to write additional scenes...

Re: Lynch to release memior 'Room To Dream: A Life In Art'.

While I’m overall loving the book so far, the “objective” chapter on the original TP series is not very insightful. The quotes and anecdotes are nice (particularly thoughts Ontkean contributed in October 2016, a year after he had opted out of S3). But there is remarkably little new insight (perhaps...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group

It was definitely a then-timely joke about President Trump's loose lips. They gave that interview the day of breaking news that Donald Trump revealed highly-classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador when they were visiting the White House.

Re: What's next? What chance do think there is we will see a season 4?

David Lynch's book Room to Dream just got released, and they write about an unproduced 2010 screenplay called "Antelope Don't Run No More." It seems to be the film Lynch mentions to Richard Beymer in the India documentary and how it lives in a similar world as Mulholland Drive and Inland E...

"The Elephant Man is a film that should come out every four years, because it helps the world for people to see it. It's a beautiful story and a beautiful experience and it's timeless." - Lynch, page 168.

I found it funny to read that the Green Glove was originally an idea Lynch had for Jack Nance!

Re: Lynch to release memior 'Room To Dream: A Life In Art'.

I won't spoil the details for people who are still reading, but there are a couple of really hilarious stories of Lynch's meetings and conversations with Marlon Brando in the 90s. Lynch and Harry Dean Stanton unsuccessfully tried to get Marlon Brando to play one of the cow/people in "Dream of t...
