Twin Peaks on Jalopnik
Stumbled across this today. Those of you who have been out for TPFest would probably know if there's any significance to some of the outdoor scenery that's not obviously connected to the clips. More a testament to the influence and staying power of the show so many years later than anything. http://...

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey
I must say I do like the original script, if only because I can totally picture the scene in my head and Fenn just adorably crushing those lines. :D That said, they probably needed to change it to set up the confrontation with Ben Horne. Audrey's upset but "coming home now" phone call woul...

Just saw the Catherine Coulson interview. Thank you for all of your hard work, Brad. You rock!

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey
@Audrey Horne Wow, this is just amazing. Great job! I really can't put off seeing Notorious any longer now. I had no idea that one of my favorite scenes was an homage to it. Just have a quick thought based on some of the stuff you had mentioned about the fairy tale influence (apologies if this was m...

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey
Obviously it's awkward trying to explain such a memorable scene in the context of a suddenly older Audrey, especially with some of the dialogue. Yea it's not the best idea ever conceived to simply let the scene hang there with no retroactive explanation, but it's just one scene and without the pilot...

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey
i have always been frustrated with the fact that Audrey was written into a hole from the pilot. it serves no importance to the story that she was a high school student. she very well could have been just a 20 year old that works at her dad's hotel. aside from the pilot she is shown in school maybe ...

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey
blair, I agree with you that is all speculation, and my intention wasn't to present any of this as fact. All we have is a bunch of "read between the lines" comments that are totally subject to the person interpreting them and get colored with our own biases. Also, I have to imagine that mo...

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey
Not to mention that Ray Wise got stuck with "not only did you rape and murder your own daughter, but we're killing you off." That has to be a bit tougher to stomach than "we're romantically pairing you with the 2nd most popular character on the show with whom you've been narratively c...

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey
I'm definitely not saying there is some seedy conspiracy, but I want to believe there is more. I was watching season 1 of the X-Files tonight, so your "I want to believe" has inspired me. I've far from an authority on this and you'd get a better answer from someone like Audrey Horne, but ...

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey
I feel the need to post my appreciation and concurrence, but the poster above me pretty much took the words out of my mouth. I have NEVER been into romance in cinema, but Audrey and Cooper was a force to be reckoned with. aside from that, Audrey's character is so powerful, complex, and dynamic that...

Re: David Patrick Kelly talks about "Jerry Horne"
Thanks Brad! Awesome interview. I absolutely love DPK. I still firmly believe that the lull in the 2nd season could have been overcome had they replaced The Marshlands and Lil' Nicky arcs with an additional 10 minutes of Jerry Horne every episode.

Re: Entering Twin Peaks for the first time
Since discovering TP I've noticed the urge to drink coffee at night has increased. I've always been a coffee man, but nothing makes coffee more appealing then Twin Peaks. Hah, it's funny that you mention that. I've never been a coffee drinker; tried it a few times and just never acquired a taste fo...

Re: Entering Twin Peaks for the first time
Hi all, I'm a relatively new Peaker, so I thought this would be a good place to introduce myself and my TP experience. I was about 9 years old during the original US airing, so I unfortunately missed out on the original. My parents were big Cheers fans, so even if I had known about TP I don't think ...
