Re: [No spoilers] Level of excitement for the new characters?

I'm really interested to see what they do with veteran actors Don Murray (of Bus Stop/Marilyn Monroe fame) and Richard Chamberlain. They are 87 and 83 years of age respectively now. FWIW, Chamberlain's site reports that... (This link may contain spoilers. Proceed at your own risk) http://www.richar...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

This hasn't been discussed. Does anyone wonder why the waterfall and the Great Northern aren't in the promo? I'm sure they won't be as focal to the return as they were in the original but that doesn't change the fact that I found their absence suspicious. The waterfall appears in the drone shot and...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

Am i the only one sensing a cabin on top of the mountain of the valley-shot? I thought of it ever since i saw the first production teaser, but i haven't been able to confirm it for myself. It also seems there is a path of some kind leading up to it. Maybe bad Coop's been hiding? My guess is it's th...

Re: Twin Peaks actors who have passed on/Pilot details and cast

Thanks MM. Now this is where it gets tough. Does anyone know the actors names who played the following roles? Engineer - "What the hell" Wasn't an actor. This guy was a foreman at the Weyerhaeuser mill at the time of the shooting. Last time I visited the area, I ran into a former mill wor...

Re: Great New GQ Lynch/TP Interview

“He doesn’t do anything he’s not feeling,” says Laura Dern, who will join Twin Peaks in one of many new mystery roles. “I’ve watched him write a wonderful movie and put it to the side. And maybe ten years later, he’s like, ‘Oh, I might be feeling that movie again now.’ ” Didn't Laura tease us about...

Her sweater suggests SOME link. (Irene in FWWM and Norma in MP also don identical sweaters.)

Re: Twin Peaks Music Guide - Fire Walk With Me

I hear nothing on my CD. Anyone else? I'm not hearing it either. The throaty bowed bass jumps out at you at that time-stamp, but that's all I hear that resembles the "Black dog..." phrase. I've worked in recording studios and designed loudspeakers, so I'm not a hack listener, fwiw. Fittin...

Re: Music From The New Series

I wonder now if Twin Peaks Music Archive happened just because Lynch needed old music library for the new season? The Archive releases began March or April 2012 - right around the time Lynch and Frost began writing "the first two hours" after having kicked around ideas for about nine mont...

Re: Journey Through Twin Peaks: the complete presentation

In 25+ years and dozens of re-watches, I'd never quite appreciated the specific doubling of "again" until this latest rewatch of Journey Through . Speaking of doubling and mirror images, note that in the Pilot one half of Laura's necklace is found atop a mound of dirt, while the other ends...

Re: Journey Through Twin Peaks: the complete presentation

When you ran the two Heidi scenes concurrently when you were covering the finale, did you notice that every word is doubled? Obviously most of it is word-for-word if you compare the Pilot and Ep 29... but the lone difference - the word "again" appearing in Ep 29 - is doubled by having both...

Re: Showtime to Re-broadcast Original Series Early Next Year

Right now their schedule calendar is only available through the end of February, but if they continue the 2 episodes a week (starting Sunday, Feb 5) after completing season one (on Feb 26) they could get through the second season, which would end May 14. This allows one more Sunday for FWWM before ...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

The original series didn't have ANY non-diegetic music that wasn't composed by badalamenti, right? Non-badalamenti music (basically amounting to leland-associated showtunes/standards) was all diegetic. I can see lynch breaking with that for the new series tho Grieg's Piano Concerto in A Minor in Ep...

Re: Showtime to Re-broadcast Original Series Early Next Year

Is the Season Two marathon happening? I don't see it on the schedule? Feb. 20-21 Those are the dates on the episode guide. I wish they would update their schedule. Right now their schedule calendar is only available through the end of February, but if they continue the 2 episodes a week (starting S...
