Black Lodge Cooper's Car vs Convenience Store (FWWM) - Linked? (Spoilers)

These two separate aspects appear to be symbolically linked. Is the mottled green (oblong part of the) console head unit a rendering of the mottled green (oblong) formica table? In the Lincoln car we get Saturn via the clock, and the green ring via the electric lighter socket. Lincoln is also a gree...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Wow, a whole thread dedicated to hating on the new series. Most of the disappointment will be coming from a lack of understanding of what you're watching. Those seeking instant gratification and all the answers on a plate will be sorely disappointed - and rightly so. Ok then, I'll leave you all to it.

Episodes 1 - 3. Overview

I've put up my blog "overview" of the first 3 episodes. Linking the old series with the new and digging very deep into aspects of the new series.

Anyway...I hope it's of some use and interest. :D

Re: No Spoilers Poll: Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down or 'Meh' On S3?

Posting on Tapatalk so can't see if there's an actual poll in the OP, however it gets a thumbs up from me. A-typical Lynch which for me means that it's shocking but it stays with you and "grows" in your mind. You've got it in a nutshell. "Growth in your mind" is EXACTLY what thi...

Re: Twin Peaks - Under The Sycamore Tree - Redux

A few bits from Season 3 have now been tacked onto the bottom of the main post body. I have broken down a few aspects mainly from Eps3 - Eraserhead fans will be pleased, as much of the new series has borrowed heavily from Lynch's 1977 film. See how I have seamlessly linked the old series with the ne...

Re: RIP Michael Massee

I didn't even know that he had died. I do recall him from Lost Highway, he was excellent in that role. The other role that sticks is his brief appearance in Se7en.

Re: Recommendations for Watching While Waiting for Season 3

Watch Dennis Potter's multi-layered "The Singing Detective" (if you haven't already). The lead is played by Michael Gambon. It's the best TV serial ever written. Production values are now somewhat dated, but the writing cannot be beaten. https://www.imageupload.co.uk/images/2017/05/06/51E3...

Re: is there any other show that even comes close to your obsession with TP?

Outside of Twin Peaks, Dennis Potter's "The Singing Detective" is the only "show/serial" that I have time for. Potter's multi-layered serial is the best TV writing that I've ever seen, and will ever see.

Re: Is Sheryl Lee in this movie ?

When I met Sheryl at the 2014 UK Twin Peaks fest - this was what I asked her about, NO LIE! I asked her if she was in the Silencio scene for MD. The funny thing is - even she seemed a bit confused and not sure herself! This is the truth (she really was a bit fazed by my question) I remember it like ...

Re: Twin Peaks - Under The Sycamore Tree - Redux

one thing, you say that one of the Woodsmen in the Convenience Store scene (FWWM), maybe the one played by Jurgen Prochnow, is the husband of the Log Lady. i don't agree with this at all but i have seen it mentioned before, what exactly are you basing that on? It's conjecture, but with reasoning. S...

Re: what was the latest Twin Peaks/Lynch/Frost object you bought?

That's really nice, i love the FWWM soundtrack especially, i got that and the series soundtracks on CD. the vinyl was a little pricey for me at that monent but would love to have all those Lynch OST:s on wax (i'm fine with CD too though) but i sadly only have the TP ones.. "Lost Highway" ...
