Re: Sarah’s smile of darkness

While that animated gif does look like a close match, the still used of Fenn is stretched, so it is certainly not a direct frame match.

Re: FWWM/TMP/The ring

I think it's just to show the power that the ring has, and how it attracts people to it (I just made it sound like Lord of the Rings :D ) You're right that there is no more information on her though. It's interesting because next we see it, Ray has the ring. I'm also interested in how the ring work...

Re: What's your favourite scene from The Return?

Otherwise, pretty much all of Part 18 - a masterful hour of paranoia and unsettling atmosphere, mostly achieved by the pervasive sense of something being just wrong . I've never seen Lynch achieve so much by using so little. Agreed, it is hard to pick a favorite, but all the truly astonishing scene...

Mr. Reindeer wrote:So at one point in TSDoLP (the 11/10/85 entry), Laura dreams of the address 1400 River Road. Upon getting there, she sees Margaret, who also dreamt of the location and was told to go there to spend time with Laura. What was the location? An “old, abandoned gas station.”

Great find!

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I don't understand how Cooper has anything really to do with Richard Horne. Unless you do buy the whole idea of Mr C raping Audrey. What do you mean "buy", that conclusion is pretty evident both from the show and the Frost book. Why on earth would Mr.C refer to Richard as his "son&qu...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I think the plot could have worked with Audrey, but I am not sure if Fenn would have been able to deliver the same heart wrenching terror as Laura Dern did.

"Fire Walk With Me" has Cooper - on several planes of reality, trying to save Laura Palmer.

Re: Who is Alice Tremond?

I will have to dig up my old WIP issues from the basement to elaborate, but there were two interviews with Engels (maybe 10 issues apart or such). Both contained info on Judy as Josie's sister.

Re: Who is Alice Tremond?

Interesting that he claims he already had a vague concept of what Judy was during FWWM. I’d never really gotten that sense before. Wow! I had thought it had been revealed by someone at least that Judy was originally supposed to be Jocelyn Packard's sister. It has, by FWWM co-writer Robert Engels. T...

The wait between season 3 and 4 is starting to feel longer than the one between 2 and 3 :o

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

I remembered that a family member confirmed that one of the musicians from the original soundtrack was recording for The Return. I thought that was Grady Tate based on that track but it could be one of the others.

Henrys Hair wrote:The new Badalamenti material, great as it is, is also a lot more minimalist than his work on FWWM & the original run. I think all the new pieces are Angelo solo compared to the band performances on the earlier soundtracks.

We know that Grady Tate (no longer with us) played on the new material.
