Re: Coffee

Yes, I enjoy coffee. I have 3 cups a week at the 3 knitting groups I attend. But I have to have some kind of lightener in it. While I love the flavor of coffee, I don't like the bitterness. No 'black as midnight' for me! Never heard of the DL brand. I've had bustelo, which is pretty nice, a coffee p...

Piper Laurie in Hesher

Hesher is an independent film. Funny but pretty vulgar. A nyhoo, Piper played an elder who was very sweet natured and quite tolerant. I didn't recognize the actress as she was heavy set and looked elderly in the movie, which came out in 2010. I wonder if, in fact, Piper had truly put on weight and a...

Re: Josie, Ronette & Laura: fire walking women

One of the reasons I love Fire Walk with Me so much, is how it deals with Leland and Ronette too, and not just Laura. Well, Ronette had only a few scenes, but still. This movie is such a powerful story for all criminals struggling with their inner demons and all the poor people who are victims of t...

Re: Wayward Pines

Gonna watch it either on TV or, lol, if I fall asleep, I'll watch in on my fox app on the ol iPad. I'm reading Pines right now. The author explains in an afterword to the novel that he was greatly influenced and impressed by twin peaks. I can see some elements of TP in the book. It's a fast and easy...

Re: Audrey instead of Annie

While I found Annie's personality to be pleasant enough, she struck me as being very needy emotionally. I would have preferred a consummation of a romance with Audrey. However young she was, she was 'legal'.( correct me if I'm wrong; while she told Coop she was 18, perhaps she was lying?) Oh well, i...
