Re: "Twin Peaks Fire Walk with Me" Blu-ray release

Chances are the release has been delayed for some reason, and rather than pull the listing Amazon's attibuted it a date waaaaay in the future. I've seen that happen on other releases.

I'm not going to bother waiting to see if there's an R2 version; I've ordered the R1 from Amazon.

In anycase, generally speaking it's best to order US TV as R1 discs, and UK TV as R2 discs as then they are in their native formats, without need for any standards conversions.

Yeah, I posted a while back that $28 for a jar of coffee was a high amount for shipping, but $91.71 for a jar of coffee...? And that's the cheapest option...? (The most expensive being $148.07...) I mean, what are they shipped in, gold caskets...? Will they be hand delivered by Mr Lynch himself if y...

I got mine from Play today, and was somewhat underwhelmed with the extras - I'd ordered it months ago before they'd even listed the extras and never got around to checking what was on it, assuming it would be all these lovely extras as listed on the dugpa news pages... well... I should remember what...

Fatso the wombat, I also would love to find a replica of the owl cave ring. A couple other people mentioned that as well. I think I could probably actually get one made. I just need to find a gold ring with a large green stone (or is it more greenish blue?) A friend of mine has a ring he had made f...

Fatso the wombat, you shouldn't be envious because that promo TP wallet you have sounds pretty cool! I've never even heard of such a thing! If you can post a pic I'd love to see it. Where did Bravo give that out? At a screening did you say? And in what state? That's such a cute idea. I love weird, ...

I'd always taken the Blue Rose to refer to a case that involves Bob and his cohorts.

I believe the ending was shot for the pilot -excuse me, an ending -to fulfill contractual obligations with the financers -there was no garauntee that the pilot would be picked up by a network. That was exactly my understanding too. If it wasn't picked up for a series, there would still have been so...

Incidentally, as per the post you quoted, I too have never heard of any confirmed cinema screening of the Euro version of the pilot - I was always under the impression it was a VHS only release.

The pilot episode was submitted in the UK to the BBFC (the people who classify films and videos/DVDs) in November 1989: Click here Of course, this does not necesarilly mean that it was released quickly after this, but is at least an indicator that this was the sort of time they were thinking of rele...

I had no expectation that I would understand it on first viewing; I was expecing something challenging that I'd have to think about, and really mull over, and probably see a few times before I got a handle on it. I remember leaving the cinema after watching Mulholland Drive having no idea what had g...

I, too, didn't know it was out there until I read this thread (and once I'd read the thread, it took me all of 20 seconds to find it... :)) As a curiosity, it's a fascinating thing to watch, and rather different to the relevant section of the film in that many sequences are either not there, or shor...

My brain is now mush.

Hello! Just joined. I thought to start with I'd post my thoughts on IE (cross posted from one of my blog entries from a week ago); Today, I saw INLAND EMPIRE. If you were to ask me what the movie was about, I could not tell you. I sat through a three hour film, and by the end of it, I had not a clue...
