Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

To expand on what I was saying in that last post, I remember Lynch talking about working on an ongoing television series back before they'd announced Twin Peaks Season Three The Return A Limited Event Series. He was looking back on season two, and explaining how he'd come to understand that on...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

My read is that he'd love to do it, but his time is finite and there are a whole lot of things he'd like to do, like spend time with his family, travel, make music, do painting and printmaking and photography (etc.), go on meditation retreats, and any number of other things. Ha, you’re reading a lo...

David Lynch on Another 'Twin Peaks' Return: "I've Learned Never Say Never" https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/fien-print/twin-peaks-david-lynch-interview-1053029 Not his most forthcoming or enlightening interview. To be fair, later in the interview he gave us more insight into his fe...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

It,s true David Lynch has said in his european tour there won,t be a Fourth season of Twin Peaks?? No. He and Frost just keep saying it's too early to say. So I reckon that after about a year and a half of "It's too early to say." we can be fairly confident that they're deep into the writ...

Re: FINAL POLL!!!!!!! Your Reaction to The Return as a Complete Work

Voting is now locked on this poll, which means it's been ten weeks since the airing of the final two parts. Thanks to everybody for voting. With a big turnout of 353 votes I think we really maxed out on regular users, and then some. The next biggest turnout was for the first poll, which dealt with t...

Re: Mark Frost AMA on Reddit 11/8 @ 10 AM Pacific

wouldnt the one time be Cooper when he meets laura in the woods? yes, but "What year is this?" We don't even know the nature of the Odessa-verse, whether it's a "pocket dimension", an alternative timeline, a dream, or something else. Cooper is caught off guard and disoriented by...

Re: Folklore question: woods / mills

Woods being full of spirits is really too common in Anglo and Germanic folklore for very old American wood spirits to be anything spectacularly original. When I was a little kid we were told there were fairies who lived in moss, and that the moss should never be trampled, and that there were spirits...

Re: Final Dossier Spoilers

There's a lot there that would have been useful for any continuation, so if Frost's tying everything up like this, it looks like it's done. Thanks so much, the spoilers have made me want to read the book all the more! Mark Frost made some comments that were published just yesterday. They were poste...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Very interesting to hear from Mark Frost on this subject. Until now, all I'd heard from Frost about this were his statements from three years ago when the project was announced. At that time he said that they hadn't ruled out more after this. As N. Needleman mentioned, Lynch has repeatedly expressed...

Re: Part 17 - The past dictates the future (SPOILERS)

Mr. Reindeer, I very much enjoyed your write-up of part 17. I agree with mtwentz about the first part, to a degree. When it first aired I was practically, excuse me, pissing myself with fear . The presence of Mr. C in the sheriff's station among those good people was terrifying. I do agree about the...

Re: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Blu-ray 12/5/17

It's probably just nonsense, but all of those extras say that they feature Kyle MacLachlan, Sheryl Lee, and Michael Horse. This is very interesting, because it brings to mind some strange things relating to Hawk in season three. First we have the enticing, but ultimately very confusing scene of Hawk...

Re: Poll: Would you like to see a 4th season happen? (SPOILERS PERMITTED)

Way back when season 3 was announced, I wanted to see what Lynch/Frost could do with a continuing story under their control. Lynch has been talking for many years about the beauty of a continuing story in the medium of television, and how it allows us to keep going deeper and deeper into a given wor...

Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

it bothers me that Tammy seems to have to get up and serve the men every time they have coffee or snacks. It happens here, as well as in the Buckhorn station in Part 11 (she doesn’t even work there!). I do think this is some manifestation/wish fulfillment of Lynch’s long-running waitress fetish, an...

Re: Part 13 - What story is that, Charlie? (SPOILERS)

Is the “dandruff” on Tony’s shoulders supposed to be some of the poison that blew on to him? I’m still a tad puzzled by that moment. It's a weird moment, but Anthony's dandruff was indeed set up beforehand. Take a look at the scene with the conga line in the Lucky 7 offices. When Anthony is freakin...
