it is said the soundtrack will be released on 09/03, and there is even a cover art... but strangely, there's nothing on amazon.com.

In theory at least, PAL DVDs should have more picture detail than NTSC DVDs. This is because PAL has a higher vertical resolution than NTSC (720x576 compared with 720x480). Having said that, I can't really see any difference in detail between the PAL and NTSC picture examples on dvdbeaver. If the fi...

You may have seen it but I posted one cover that you can print out and use, back on page 8 of this thread. Note that it is not one of the official covers but is created from the European poster. Here it is again... http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/8226/iefull1cgg4.th.jpg http://img213.imageshack....

Would it be possible for those people with scanners to scan and upload their covers? That way we would all at least have a choice about which cover to have. It would be great if we could get all versions of it to choose from. At the minute buying online is a bit of a lottery - and I ended up with th...

Does it look like the Virgin one?
No. The HMV slipcase contains the same R2 cover art as the DVD case inside.

Here in the UK, I bought 2 versions of IE on DVD. The UK edition from Play.com -it comes with the same cover as the HMV version (but not the cardboard slipcase) ie pink photo on top, blue one underneath. It also has an exclusive 'poster' but as this is only A4 size and folded up to fit inside the DV...

I read that he shot the film with using Autofocus on, Auto White Balance, Auto Iris. These things are usually unheard of for a 'professional' shoot. But if they work for Lynch, ya can't knock them. Apparantly someone was showing him a HD camera (possibly the JVC HDV one) and he wasn't interested bec...

I just got the MD Special Edition. Interesting thing is that when watchingthe film, if I push the 'next chapter' button on my remote, my DVD player informs me that this operation is not allowed. So no skipping through it then. When you go to the Chapter Index, you are presented with a still of an MD...

I got an R2 copy on eBay at a decent price. It's the German BMG edition with almost no features. I did see some screen shots comparing it to other versions and it looked great. Haven't gotten around to watching it yet, waiting for just the right moment. Over the years i've bought about 5 different ...

I use FCP myself every day and it's a joy to use.
I hope Dave got a good price for his Avid on eBay...

I expect it will come out in High Def DVD format at some point in the future. Followed about a year later by a HD special edition version.
In the past I've bought 3 different DVD versons of Blue Velvet and 5 of Lost Highway!

I find it kind of ironic that this should be on a promotional DVD for Avid, when it turns out that David Lynch actually edited Inland Empire using Final Cut Pro.

I don't yet have Dynamic:01 (soon hopefully) but I do have Dumbland and Short Films. I do think they are worth getting - as long as you are aware of what they are - and that they're quite different to his full length films. The square box packaging is great too and makes them very collectable. Don't...

Has anyone noticed (maybe everyone in which case i'd be the last to know) that the actress who plays the grandmother in Mulholland Drive was Mary X's mother in Eraserhead? I hadnt noticed that! Well spotted -I'll have to check that out now in trainspottery fashion. Speaking of grandmothers - I wond...
