Re: Twin peaks: Nostalgia Fanedit

I'm on the fourth episode, I'm really enjoying it! It's amazing how much that music really lifts some of the material. Don't get me wrong, I loved The Return and Lynch's original vision, but I also really missed the music. I love the extra jazzy version of "Dance of the Dream Man" when Jan...

Re: New Johnny Jewel album of unused/unreleased TP score

Listening to 'Shadow (Opening Titles)' almost makes me think it could have been considered as a new opening title theme. And they did perform the real song at the end of the first episode, much like Julee did "Falling" in the pilot.

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

I don't think this was included in the book, at least not in the digital copy. https://twitter.com/TwinPeaksArchve/status/860905522559500288 It's a flyer/card that appeared to be for a memorial at the Roadhouse in 1994, to mark the 5th anniversary of Laura's passing (disappearance? ). I gue...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

Am I the only one who is convinced Bobby or Shelly killed Leo? The cops didn't know that Windom Earle left Leo alive so there was no probable cause to charge them. Also Shelly had no way of knowing Leo wasn't evil anymore since he had tried to kill her last they met. I can't figure out how they loc...

Pretty much in line with the rest of the show. Not that I feel like the live ratings matter much anyway...

Re: Criterion edition?

As opposed to an "extended cut", I could better imagine an entire re-edit by Lynch, consisting of alternate takes/angles etc. in vain with the new series with more experimentation, atmospheric pauses and perhaps restoring the original structure of the script (Jeffries scene taking place af...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31

Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but someone posted this link earlier, but now they have a cover up. Is it simply a Russian printing of "Reflections" or possibly something new? I'm leaning toward the former, but I'm not 100%. The cover is pretty cool though. 7f739ac83c08dcd093d7860f7db0e...

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (Spoilers)

Although it may sound sacrilege, from what I've seen, I can definitely already see someone cutting together a fanedit somewhere down the line after it's all done, cutting down a lot of material and adding in the old music, etc., making it "feel" the old series. And it would probably be a lo...

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (Spoilers)

The scene where Bobby sees Laura's picture and Laura Palmer's Theme swells up is the first time the series felt like "Twin Peaks" to me.

Re: SPOILERS: Inconsistencies in the Secret History of Twin Peaks

I know it's mentioned in Dr. Jacoby's letter that Leland Palmer came from a wealthy family in Seattle (pg 324), when in episode 12 it's mentioned his grandfather Joshua Palmer settled in Twin Peaks 70 years ago. Also on the previous page, as I'm sure was mentioned in the other thread, it talks about...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

I agree with Mr Reindeer. The talk was very short and not much detail was given about the writing or contents of the book (I believe out of interest of spoilers). Mark was very personable and welcoming. He signed my copy of the old Access Guide and seemed surprised, since (apparently) they're hard t...
