Re: CONCLUSIONS... What are yours? (SPOILERS)

Some great stuff in this thread so far. Like most of us (I would imagine) I've been struggling to make sense of what we saw Sunday night. I haven't written anything down yet, but I have many thoughts... excuse the rambling nature of what follows, and the potential inaccuracies; I don't yet feel up f...

Re: Theories & Speculation (SPOILERS)

Just rewatched part 2. Might have been mentioned already, but isn't the sound that plays when Laura removes her face the same sound as the tone Ben and Beverly are hunting in the great northern (among other uses this season)?

Re: Who is Judy? (Spoilers)

I'm starting to hope that they don't explain Judy any further in these final 2 episodes. I love the idea that they'd bring it back, and have Mr. C ask the question we've all been asking since FWWM and then not answer it, but leave us with one more clue to speculate about ("you've already met Ju...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

Maybe a bit off-topic, but, regarding Hutch, Chantal and their Tarantino-ness... The first time I watched Wild At Heart, in around 2006, I came away pretty disappointed. This won the Pom d'Or? It seemed like a Tarantino knock-off to me. Then I realized the year it came out. 2 full years before Reser...

I don't entirely agree with it but I'm curious to see what other people in here think.

Great post Mr. Reindeer. I had the same experience with the Steven/Gersten scene upon a rewatch. Heartbreaking stuff.

Snailhead wrote:One thing that bothered me a little - how did Richard end up outside the Convenience store? Was he following Coop in a separate vehicle that he then abandoned? IT seemed like he just appeared out of thin air.
You can see Richard's car in the background of one of the shots.

Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

Moments ago I re-watched 14. Some minor things I didnt notice last time: - Just as Gordon enters the room where Albert and Tammy were talking -- after Gordon had hung up w/ Sheriff Frank -- he hands Albert a slip of paper before saying "Diane's on her way". What he said just before that, ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Politics aside, I agree with a lot of what you're saying and share your anguish. Some of the staunchest supporters of TPTR don't seem to hold the original TP in as high a regard as us older fans who watched it countless times and cherish it for its flawed beauty. I'm even getting the feeling that L...

Re: Gender in Twin Peaks: The Return (SPOILERS)

I had the feeling watching Sarah Palmer's scene this week that whatever she is possessed by is a defensive entity, possibly antithetical to BOB. It appears as though it may be triggered by male violence against women. If BOB was a representation of hyper-masculine patriarchal violence, perhaps whate...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I love Twin Peaks: The Return. I come out of it each week buzzing with happiness, and I spend the next 7 days eagerly anticipating the coming Sunday. That said, this thread is home to some of my favorite discussions about the new show. Thanks for that! Cheers!

Re: Part 12 - Let's rock (SPOILERS)

I'm so happy that they're revisiting Sarah Palmer and really examining what that kind of trauma could do to a person. This part to me gave Sarah a bit of the dignity that Lynch gave Laura in FWWM. Sarah disappeared so unceremoniously from the original series after Leland's death, as if she had no st...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

"Where we're from, the birds sing a pretty song and there's always music in the air." In the White Lodge (?) the record player seems to play music incessantly... except, in the first scene of season 3, the music is gone. The record player only chirps. "Agent Cooper, listen to the soun...
