Será una mezcla de cosas, casi una novela epistolar.Harry S. Truman wrote:At the end, the book it will be a conventional novel, or be a mixture of dossiers, police reports, newspaper clippings as it was rumored, ??

Re: Random Twin Peaks Thoughts & Questions
It's about the divided self. I don't love that plot, but it has thematic significance.

Re: Twin Peaks Cast on Donahue 1990
I know about the pre-empts with the Cold War that comes later, etc., but the move to Saturdays surely was the early end of the show long before the Cold War pre-empts or people getting tired of the mystery not being revealed. I know Twin Peaks was a long time ago, but it wasn't quite that long... :...

Re: Need a replacement disc 7 for The Entire Mystery Bluray
I have the bluray box and there is a small crack on Disc 7 on the outside rim that renders the disc unplayable. Who can I contact about a replacement disc? I refuse to buy a new set because of one disc. After wracking my brain, consulting with numerous experts, and forming a focus group, I have com...

I've got the FWWM Video Watchdog issue and can scan it. Might not get to it for a few days.
Tim Lucas has always been a consistently insightful and positive TP critic. All the VW issues with TP content are amazing.

Re: Favorite episodes (and directors) of Twin Peaks
If you'd like a 'mockery' that does get it, Psych did a pretty great Twin Peaks send-up. :) Yes - the Dual Spires episode is plenty fun. ;-) "...a little something to hold us over until Showtime [2016]." At the 27-second mark: http://youtu.be/ID15ASgv3aU Holy crap. That's insane! He even ...

Re: The Owl Cave Ring - thematic significance
Something I didn't get to mention in my videos but noticed when I was looking for clips. Lynch almost never shows Cooper's left hand in the film (particularly avoiding showing the pinky finger, where he would be wearing the ring). The only time that he doesn't seem to be hiding it is when Cooper st...

Re: Part 4 of Journey Through Twin Peaks: Laura is the One
I wish there was more textual evidence for his reading of the end of FWWM--that it ends, as it opened, with a television--but there's not. This is not Inland Empire. But I do agree with his central point that FWWM marks the pivot from early Lynch to the mature Lynch.

Re: Episode 28
And speaking of awkwardly over-stylized aesthetic....I've always thought the Diane Keaton-directed episode (22?) was the worst of the worst. It's as if she looked at Lynch's aesthetic and thought "OK, I'll be pointlessly stylized and weird, randomly." Talk about tone-deaf. It's so jarring...

Re: Bob running
And note that he's biting/snapping his teeth, which is the first hint that Bob is a kind of mouth incarnate, built to consume...this seems to be a Lynch addition to the Bob mythos and is a very Lynchian theme in general (mouths, food, vomiting, eating, etc...)

Re: Episode 14 as scripted (no murder sequence)
To my knowledge no one has ever explained anything about the murder sequence--how it was conceived, the genesis of the white horse, or, to my mind, the most amazing thing of all, the weird spotlight effect--beyond the well-known story of the sequence being filmed three times, with Leland, Ben, and B...
