Re: Least Favorite Storyline in Twin Peaks

for me it's the Nadine super-strength storyline, it's just HORRENDOUS in its execution.... i thought Nadine was a hilarious character in S1, ther drape runners schtick always have me laughling and the way she played that outragerous character with the eyepatch was just amazing. i even liked in the b...

With Twin Peaks reaching a fever height again, and many of us being true collectors i thought this was a thread that could be funny to share in. with all these new reissues and vast amount of memorabilia let's share our latest purchass with each other. this is a common thread on many forums, especia...

Re: The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer (Audiobook)

right now i'm SO glad that i never did read "The Secret Diary" by Jennifer Lynch although i came close to picking it up many times. what held me back was that the library had the swedish translation only and i wanted it in its original form. this is so much better though...i'm getting this...

Re: What's up with the creepy old woman in FWWM

yes that is a very strange and interesting character which i haven't seen discussed all that much.. also take note of her suggested entrance into the scene, when the camera creeps into the doorway before it cuts to Desmond's view and our first sight of the woman. the first shot suggests it's the wom...

Re: Recommendations for Watching While Waiting for Season 3

-The Handmaiden Best movie of 2016 IMO. Still need to check Oldboy. Completely agree with this.. i was blown away at the cinema, Park Chan Wook is up there with Lynch and Cronenberg amongst the best living directors still working today. i also recommend his US feature "Stoker" as well as ...

Re: Quirks/Habits that enhance your Twin Peaks viewing experience

Gabriel, i really feel for you.. Sleep paralysis is truly TERRIFYING :( i only had it once or twice but the memory is still vivid years later. and my cousin had it like you each and every night, in fact in her case (and in many others) i believe that there's a paranormal explanation for it. hers beg...

Re: Who played bass on Season 1 OST?

Hmm i dont have the record or Dvds with me to check but the upright bass sound on a few of those legendary scores always sounded completely organic and authentic to me. There are pieces on there where landrum plays the bass notes on synth but that is very noticeable and different imo.. Ill recheck t...

Who played bass on Season 1 OST?

I'm a big fan of the legendary jazz bass player Buster Williams, who was amongst other things the bassist with Herbie Hancock's excellent sextet (sometimes known as the Mwandishi band) between 1968-1973. I know that Williams is the credit bassist on the Season 2 soundtrack as well as the majority of...

Re: FIRE WALK WITH ME script

I'm not sure if the Norwegian dinner would fit in with the rest of FWWM tonally, though I certainly do like it. I think the only Missing Pieces that I'd really put back into FWWM would be: 1) Laura at the Haywards's 2) Leland glaring demonically at Laura, who's hiding in the bushes on her final nig...

Re: FIRE WALK WITH ME script

I too am very happy with the film as is, however there are a few scenes I would have included: - Laura and the ceiling fan, with the terrifying grin that slowly develops. I thought that it was more effective at showing Bob's control on her than anything else. This scene really mesmerized me as well...
