I watched Lost Highway a couple of days ago, and somewhere in the middle they talk about 'Sycamore'. I think it is an adress (a hotel where Alice is waiting for Pete?).
This seems to be a clear connection to TP.

Re: Which do you prefer: Early Lynch or Later Lynch?
My favorite films: 1. Mulholland Drive (the only film that I've seen, by Lynch or anyone else, that is pure perfection in my opinion. Absolutely flawless. Every second has relevance, excitement, substance, tension). 2. Inland Empire: in some ways even more challenging than Mulholland Drive. But one ...

Re: Windom Earle - Master of Disguise
I like some of the light stuff, e.g. Andy/Lucy and even Dick. For me the problem with Windom Earle is that it is not supposed to be light and campy, but very disturbing and more or less the replacement of the Laura Palmer story. For me the relevant distinction is not between light and heavy, but bet...

Re: Windom Earle - Master of Disguise
White face or fireplace, Windom still ranks higher than Evelyn, Little Nikki, Lana & MT Wentz I've been watching S2 for the last couple of weeks, but in my opinion the Windom Earle-plot is the single worst plotline of the entire show. Both the chess-game (including Peter Martell) and the differ...

Re: Random Twin Peaks Thoughts & Questions
What should we make of this whole Civil War plot? Why is Ben Horne going mad? What is symbolized by this war? Why does the south win?

Re: Wishes...Hopes...& Dreams
Come off it, Twin Peaks is NOT a soap opera. And yes, I know what Lynch and Frost said about it. But I can't believe that people take this literally and don't see the provocative and ironic nature of this statement. If it were a soap opera (of 18 episodes, what is already self-contradictory), no one...

Re: Possible SPOILERS: S3 casting & returning actors/charact
Is there any news regarding Annette McCarthy? Anyone else thought that Evelyn with the dark sunglasses was a reference to Donna wearing Laura's sunglasses?
And what about James Booth? Will he be returning?

Re: Wishes...Hopes...& Dreams
Well, maybe that explains why I'm so much less enthusiastic about S1 en S2 than so many others here. All the soapy elements work only for first viewing (if they work at all). It's only the non-soapy parts of the show that have stood the test of time. A soap can get away with Tojamura or the food-cri...

Re: Wishes...Hopes...& Dreams
- I hope for an approach that is as abstract as FWWM of Mulholland Drive. I would even be thrilled with an Inland Empirish-approach. - No recasts, no matter what. - I would like to see Frank Silva and Michael J. Anderson - I would not like Sheryl Lee to be a new character. Unless it is done very dif...

Re: Possible SPOILERS: S3 casting & returning actors/charact
Maybe it's an idea to also include Frank Silva, Jack Nance, etc. in the list of actors that will not be returning?
(I guess that most people that visit this site know about who's alive and who's not, but for the sake of completeness, I would include them in the opening post).

Re: The Tojamura Twist
The Tojamura Twist for me was one of the many dissapointments of the show. For long, I had it in my head that the show was brilliant until Laura's killer was revealed. But after rewatching it a couple of times, I was surprised and dissapointed that also S1 and the first half of S2 contain LOTS of ve...

Re: Lost vs. Twin Peaks - A Comparison
They are both brilliant shows in very different ways. Judging LOST after only five episodes is a mistake in my opinion. Of course, I can't say anything about the plot development, the structure of the show or the philosophy behind it after seeing just five episodes. What I do know, for sure, is tha...

Re: Lost vs. Twin Peaks - A Comparison
I am honestly surprised that people can be fan of both Twin Peaks and Lost (although I only saw the first five episodes of the first season of Lost). Although I think that Twin Peaks never fulfilled its huge potential and has serious flaws and many mediocre scenes, it is essentially a (top) quality ...

Re: Let's talk about Judy
I have lots of confidence in Lynch, but bringing back Sheryll Lee as a redhead character, would be soooooooooooo cliche and lame. Bad, bad writing.
Even including Maddy was an overstretch imho.

Re: Twin Peaks: Season Three confirmed for 2016 on Showtime
I still hope that someone (preferably Lynch) will take it on himself to cut down episode 17-28 into two or three episodes. - It should be fairly simple (despite some minor difficulties) - It leaves in tact all the good episodes. - It does not 'change history' or canon, it's just a different (shorter...
