Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)

I was fine with Audrey being involved in the DEA subplot - that seemed to be the last remaining bit of build to the Cooper/Audrey romance arc. I enjoyed that. I just also thought her working at the Great Northern with Ben allowed her to come into her own that much more. And having her in power suits...

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)

I have never bought into the FBI Agent Audrey thing. It just never made sense to me. I did buy her as a business tycoon in training, something the writers claimed Sherilyn pushed for between seasons to mature the character, but which Sherilyn and most fans seem to have ended up hating. I thought her...

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)

Chrysta took a lot of shit, but like so many others she added a very unique presence and flavor to the show. I can understand why Lynch cast her, because her green acting ability (which wasn't bad!) was so often offset by a natural awkwardness or mannerism that made her as peculiar as the rest of th...

Re: No Ray Wise?

Frost has talked at length about the ending of Season 3 being what he and Lynch crafted, and the thematic reasons for it.

I have never seen anything to suggest the final scene was originally intended to air earlier or repeat. Kyle never said that, either.

Re: No Ray Wise?

Based on a mixture of anecdotal evidence from Frost himself and some informed speculation, I don't believe the ending was ever anything other than what it was. But that's me.

Re: No Ray Wise?

Frost seemed extremely onboard with the arc and especially the ending of Season 3 in his many post-show interviews, and that's all I'll say about that.

It always sounded exactly like Lynch to me.

Re: Freddie's fight scene in part 17

The way I see it, I think this debate is divided into at least 3 points of view. There are the people, like me, who like the scene mostly because of what it means, and how it fits into the larger tapestry. Secondly, there are people who purely like the scene for exactly what it is on the surface, i...

We got that many pages ago. Your feelings are clear. This thread isn't your forum to repeatedly insult and condescend to anyone who liked a scene (or series) you didn't.

Re: Freddie's fight scene in part 17

Started rewatching FWWM yesterday. The part where Laura goes home in the middle of the day, hesitating to go into her bedroom because of Bob possibly being there, and the jolt of fear that literally goes through the body when you start noticing he's in the room. Almost as if you were there in the r...

That's just blind Lynch worship, finding ways to justify *anything*.

Re: Freddie's fight scene in part 17

Let me just say - if there had been no Season 3 of Twin Peaks and I had written a fan script for one depicting the exact same scenes of Freddie punching out a Bob Orb with his super-strength green glove, I'll bet everyone here would call it silly and dumb and make zero effort to do any mental gymna...

Re: Freddie's fight scene in part 17

The BUF website actually revealed that most of the “Silva” footage was (very impressive) CGI, albeit definitely based closely on existing performances That's what I mean. This is not a new performance, it's modeled off actual existing footage of Frank. Actually, this touches on a large part of the ...
