Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

Almost all activity and attention is sucked up by this very negative "force" called TPDSG As long as that thread exists, this long-standing forum is dead. But at this point, one can only assume that the forum admin is one of these 'profoundly disappointed', and wants it there. LOL. If you...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

As I understand, people that enjoyed season 3 are practically banned fromtrying to spreading any positivity in that thread, so......... :?: You know what is a good place for that? Every single other TP related conversation on the internet. My point is that maybe some of us would like to try and dis...

Harry S. Truman wrote:It,s true David Lynch has said in his european tour there won,t be a Fourth season of Twin Peaks??

No. He and Frost just keep saying it's too early to say.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

You're not listening; I said the way they're going about their message looks ungrateful. I don't agree. YMMV. I didn't say it was a pressure-campaign, you're mincing my words here. I don't like the idea of Showtime potentially getting the idea to pressure L/F for more. And I'm telling you that woul...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Lynch has gone on the record saying if he does any more it won't be for awhile. Why is that not good enough for some people? Does that fly right over their heads? Who is saying it isn't other than you? All these campaigns do is show support for another season. I don't want Showtime to inevitably pr...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

What's wrong with people wanting more Twin Peaks? And what sign do you have that Lynch/Frost aren't interested? All their public commentary is at the very least open to the possibility. No one is forcing or pressuring them.

I don't see anything wrong with it. The campaigning was also effective in the spring of '15.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Robert Knepper has been accused of historical assault so that may impact on some people's desire to rewatch the show. Accused? The only way to tell if he is guilty or not is to weigh him against a duck. Or a trial. Until then let's assume guilty, because, I mean. . . obviously! Oops, too lat...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

Mark said somewhere that he expected the audience to have identified Sarah as the Girl on their own, by the end. Not sure how he felt that was driven home in the series, since it was something obvious to speculate after episode 8, but didn't seem clearly confirmed afterward... But whatever. Since t...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

Be that as it may, they clearly intended for it to be Sarah. Well, that's just your and Frost's opinion, man. It is almost certainly also Lynch's. Frost would not write that identity in without Lynch's go-ahead. And Frost has said he had a heavy hand in scripting Part 8. You seem very invested in t...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

Has Harley Peyton ever commented on any of this on his own? Not specifically, but he was on the Twin Peaks Unwrapped podcast in late September. He said that he and Mark still talk on the phone around four times a week, and they interrupted their usual political discourse to talk about S3 when it wa...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

That doesn't mean I have to be content if I see they hadn't mended their ways. Particularly since the tie-in material comes directly from one of the original creators, something which wasn't the case back in the day. Frost and Lynch signed off on all the material back then via close associates and ...

Agent Earle wrote:So, basically, sloppiness and retconning all around. SIGH. So much for the "it's all intentional" theory, which circulated around the publication of TSHOTP.

TP official merchandising has been sloppy on continuity since 1990.
