Re: Sam Esmail interviews Mark Frost

I suppose "I'll see you again in 25 years" is too obvious to be this "Way back in". Wonder what it could be. Judy? Though Frost wasn't involved in FWWM. Evil Cooper cliffhanger? Well that was already a given anyway... HMM Yeh Frost has said that the doppel cliffhanger was a give...

Re: Sam Esmail interviews Mark Frost

My one complaint is that Mark hard-dodges Esmail’s question about the initial “way back in” idea he pitched to DKL that convinced them it was right to return to this world. Mark has been notoriously tight-lipped on this, despite bringing it up constantly.

Re: Sam Esmail interviews Mark Frost

I'm guessing the stretch of desert is Jornada Del Muerto (Dead Man's Journey): https://www.desertusa.com/desert-trails/jornada-del-muerto.html Good catch! Mark couldn’t remember the Spanish phrase. Jornada del Muerte is where Parsons and Hubbard conducted the Thelema ritual that is implied to have ...

Re: Sam Esmail interviews Mark Frost

Some good stuff: They originally wrote the script with “chapter headings” that they knew might or might not line up with actual series hours, but DKL wanted to take the chapter headings out for the later drafts (like the one Showtime saw). DKL wrote the “This is the water” speech himself on set. The...

Re: Tom Sizemore accused of molesting 11yo

Not sure how much more "confirmation" you need. Did you read the story? Playing devil’s advocate, there isn’t much actual evidence in the story at all. Just the accuser’s story, and the actress playing the mother who claims she saw the girl’s eyes go wide, and a whole bunch of “character ...

Re: Theories & Speculation (SPOILERS)

I have to say, I find a lot of the theories pretty out there, but that REALLY does look like Clark Middleton with Coop. Do we know when they show the Sam/Tracy scenes? Presumably they would have shot this photo around that same time. Fenn started shooting near the end of production (4/09 I believe),...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Aside from a poor decision in undertaking Dune (an experience he learned from), DKL has never and will never do anything artistically that he doesn’t want to do. There is no danger whatsoever of him being “pressured.” Likewise, I imagine that Mark could have leveraged his immediate post-TP buzz into...

Re: Roman Polanski petition and Lynch

Relevant to this subject, Mark named Chinatown as his favorite movie during his AMA Weds., and then was (unironically) quoting the iconic “nosey fellow” scene — in which Polanski himself appears — on twitter contemporaneous with tweets/retweets highlighting pedophilia allegations against Roy Moore a...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

There’s a middle ground between “innocent until proven guilty” and telling vicims of alleged sex abuse to “suck it up.” A very wide middle ground.

And that’s all I’ll say about that. I fear we’re OT and hovering on the edge of the political.

That’s a lovely sentiment to echo on a board dedicated to a franchise that is in large part about sexual abuse and the way society ignores it.

He says a question “might be on the right track” in saying that the captive “grey” Nixon shows Jackie Gleason may have a relation to the Experiment. Did Jow-day do time at Homestead AFB?!

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Perhaps this season has revealed to some of us that there is nothing to think about Twin Peaks. That there is no grand scheme of things. That it is not a complicated cosmic puzzle. That it is truly a collection of good and bad ideas clumsily mixed together. That even if some scenes are cool or upli...

DKL did have a Tokyo art show during part of the production of S2, so that explains part of his absence.

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

Since we have no way of knowing what has and what hasn't been common knowledge, I'd like to abstain from speculation; some hardcore fans are aware of the fact, that much I can safely say, but that's about all. As for the truth of which Frost speaks being reflected in journalism, I disagree - I have...
