Re: Forum Closing April 15th, 2022

I haven’t posted here in a good long while, and I’ve had a few user names over the years (I’m terrible with forgetting usernames/passwords!), but just wanted to leave one last message on here before it closes. Like everyone else here, Twin Peaks impact on my life has been… well it was like an atomic...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

What Mr Reindeer said, plus Frost tweets Twin Peaks stuff semi regularly. I’m fascinated by how much late stage Lynch we’re getting. If it releases in 2022 we’ll likely have more filmed Lynch material in the last 6 years than his entire film career combined. I really hope it’s TP related - I love ep...

Re: Parts 1 + 2 (Spoilers)

I was just bored for nearly the first hour. The problem for me was that it made zero attempt to create any sense of mystery - it just threw stuff at the screen and expected the audience to make the mystery themselves. One of Lynch's been his ability to create and sustain a sense of tone, yet it felt...

Also, is it just me or does Nadine's eyepatch look like it's been really badly superimposed?

I looked this up earlier - it's the People Entertainment Network & it looks like you can stream their reunite specials on their site.

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

I haven't been on the forums for the better part of a year now as I was trying to avoid any and all spoilers. But goddammit those magazines have got me so hyped! Can't believe this is actually happening.

Re: David Lynch & Jacques Rivette retrospective

Wish I could go to this - there's so much of Rivette's work I've been unable to see, although we seem to have been luckier with releases of Rivette's work in Europe than the US. Particularly would love to see the IE & The Story of Marie & Julien, as anything paired with IE is something I'd w...

Re: How will the new Twin Peaks be received?

I was reading a TP article earlier (I think on Slate), and it included old quotes from Lynch about how much he hates conclusions. I was wondering about the possibility that we aren't going to get a definitive ending to this series? I'm certain we will get a conclusion to Coop's posession story, but ...

Re: swansong

Definitely not the end of his career - maybe just the last thing he films. There again, maybe not. Simple fact is, sooner or later, he's going to have a final work (hopefully later). I would have put good money on it being IE up until the week before the announcement. As for why we are speculating -...

LostInTheMovies I hadn't thought of this in those terms, I've mainly just been focused on new TP but good god they way you just put that got me hyped.

Re: swansong

I kind of believe this may well be the last filmed work we will see too, but I also think the gaps are in large part to because of funding issues, which is why I could see new filmed work possibly happening post new TP. SS was the last fully funded project, compared to MD which ended up being split ...

Re: swansong

I know it won't happen, but I so wish that somehow he was able to make Axxon n, even if IE may have covered a lot if that ground. But no, Lynch will never stop creating in one form or another. I believe he's gone on record, after IE, as saying funding is the main issue. I suspect post new TP, this w...

Re: Farewell, Catherine Coulson

So sad to hear this. You know when you see all the questions on threads, facebook, twitter, etc. asking 'who do you dream of seeing in series 3?', I never put the Log Lady on my list. Why? Because it was a given. She's so part of Twin Peaks that it was unthinkable that she wouldn't be there for it. ...

Re: What new merchandise do you want to see?

Ooh, good call Jerry, hadn't thought of coffee table books (actually, on that point, whatever happened to Paula's book?) LostInTheMovies - yes! Part 2 would be amazing, my only worry would be is that do you think that Brad would need to allow a significant amount of time to pass before doing it? I f...

What new merchandise do you want to see?

Getting ahead of myself here but I'm hoping that we get to see some new merchandise when the new series comes along. Just wondering what everyone would like to see? I'm pinning my hopes on figures - I need a little plastic Coop for my desk. In fact I need multiple - for my work desk and home desk. H...
