I'm pretty sure he is, isn't he? I've heard things through multiple sources, online and off.

Re: Guitar?

Brad, To my ears, it sound like the guitarist is playing the Cm chord in 3rd position(and playing the full chord), so you'll hear the higher chord tones played that way. It could be done in 8th position, but that walking line leading to and from the chord sounds like it starts on the 5th string rath...

FINALLY! THE OTHER WOMAN MYSTERY SOLVED!

i have been watching a polish film called the saragossa manuscript(made in 1965) on recommendation from a friend on the TP gazette, and not only is the film very similar in construction to IE, but it stars Leon Niemczyk, who also played one of the three old men in the seance scene in IE. so i was lo...

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey

i was going to say that looks a hell of alot like you sitting next to sherilyn, but i assumed it wasnt because of the long ago TP fest clusterfuck. i am gladly proved wrong. and thanks for the narrative audrey, as always. and you can die happy now, she thinks youre adorable! and yes, more write ups ...

Re: Carl's GUT, pt. 1: bardo

Just so, there is a shifting going on. It is the 'transistions' that are most strking and at the heart of the matter. I reserve judgement as to which soul is that of 'The Phantom' , but Jack Rabbit ( who I believe, is the soul of Adam K. , the arrogant director from Mullholland Dr , reborn as an an...

Re: Does IE have a connection to THE THIRTEENTH FLOOR???

i watched this recently because of your post, and i did not care for it. i can see how the confusion of reality theme is in IE, but beyond that, they are completely different films. and 13th floor pales in comparison as a film to IE. it felt like a b-movie, except it had a decent budget. but the act...

Re: Carl's GUT, pt. 1: bardo

sorry carl, ive been away for awhile. but i do like what youre saying here. the only way for me to see IE as a whole is that its plot is metaphysical and uses ideas and images like youve mentioned in youre first post. i do have a problem with the list you made. i believe youre confusing characters a...

i concur. and thank you. its definitely the best MD site out of all the ones ive seen. beyond the great construction of it, the content just makes you want to deeply immerse yourself in that world, in a good good way.

Re: IE, HD, yep

i meant to post about this earlier when we were have disagreements as to which actor is which character/s. i have a bit more than decent HD widscreen thats rather large, and while its not as good as the silver screen, there are a lot of details that are clear as day yet if seen on, say, a computer m...

Re:

This is yet another proof that the audience's experience of the film echoes the process the film went through to be born: a series of isolated parts shot over a long period of time that, my means of Lynch's wonderful editing hand, has a complex web of correspondences established within itself by th...

Re: Windom's Deck

i take back my inital comment. i think this is the one, jerry. i was thrown off by the shadows, but those can easily be made more prominent by altering the exposure time when making the photo go from color to black and white. thanks for the persistence!
