POLL! Your reaction to Twin Peaks: The Return, pts. 1 through 4
I believe too that an event in the story will bring back the music.

Re: POLL! Your reaction to Twin Peaks: The Return, pts. 1 through 4
I was initially shocked by the lack of music and the editing (I feel like some scenes are edited by Dunham and some by Lynch himself like IE and missing pieces). It was not what I expected (I wanted the FWWM feel) but can't stop watching it. The more I watch it the more I like it.

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
I understood from Mark's initial interviews about the Twin Peaks continuation that the Season 3 "skeleton" idea was Frost's and that Lynch liked it and joined the trip. So maybe the story is not as Lynchian as we may think (though i'm sure he remoulded it quite a bit) and closer to TSHOTP ...

I never thought about Zane or Buchanan, the two of them make perfect sense to me, now that you say it. Especially, since Welsh never acted better than in ep27 and ep29.

Lara Flynn Boyle, acting "weird and vein"? I find it hard to believe.Snailhead wrote:I assumed Lara Flynn Boyle, but it's just a hunch.
I always supposed he talked about Kenneth Welsh. But it's just a guess.

Re: RE: Re: POLL: Predict BOB for S3 [Book spoilers permitted]
I just keep thinking Ray Wise as Bob. It just makes sense to me. He played "Bob as Leland" so well. The more I think of it, the more i would prefer a rare use of CGI for BOB, for continuity in the Lodges mythology. Underexposed of course or in back lighting, his presence mostly evoked by ...

Re: RE: Re: They live inside a dream.
Well, your point of view is interesting. For myself, i don't feel too rigid about the plot. I'm just following the clues put delibarately by the author in the movie. I just find the "reality part" absolutely makes sense, once you put the scenes in the right order. The only things that are ...

Re: RE: Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
I do not think this is in any way comparable to George Lucas and Star Wars. It's a tie-in with some fuzzy points of continuity. It's not Greedo shot first or the ballad of midichlorians. I get tired of overheated geek culture dealing entirely in absolutes, with something being either perfect or the...

Re: RE: Re: They live inside a dream.
To quote the film directly, "It is all an illusion." How much more explicit does the explanation have to be? Yes, but that happens before the supposed reality of the film takes place. I agree with you Djerdap. I really feel numerous clues in the movie indicate that the first part (till th...

Re: RE: Re: FIRE WALK WITH ME script
Any place to read the original script? Does this include stuff that wasn't in the Missing Pieces (i.e., never filmed, like Ben Horne's stuff? I assume Audrey just wasn't in the script at all?) I'm mostly just curious about the differences. (For what it's worth, out of the Missing Pieces stuff, ther...

- Chet Desmond finding a golf ball under Teresa's trailer (a nice nod to the series and explains why Desmond looks under the Chalfonts' trailer later on) The first time I've read that I thought it had relation to Leland using a golf club to crush Teresa's skull (the same he used later to play golf ...

FIRE WALK WITH ME script
Hi everyone, I, for one, absolutely love FWWM. I do not think it has structure problems and love how it expanded the Twin Peaks universe with Deer Meadows and Philadelphia, and the music. On some days, I sometimes feel the death of Laura is a little rushed, but that's just because I'd like to see a ...
