Re: Twin Peaks: From Z To A 12/10 & The Television Collection 10/15 Blu-Ray & DVD Sets

That scene with Sarah removing her face was shot inside Smokey Joe's in Snoqualmie. They had that area completely cordoned off as well as the entire restaurant sheeted off in black nylon to prevent light as well as curious eyes. The only thing visible outside was the Elk sign shown in the episode. W...

Re: Frank Silva interview footage?

I really want to see these interviews and they've been removed from Youtube, of course. Any other ways to see it?

Re: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Blu-ray 12/5/17

Those intense scenes of Lynch telling the actors how to feel and how to act actually detail what a fine actor he is himself. If you watch his jaw flex and tighten, you can quickly see how committed he is to every role. I loved it. I will admit that the BTS videos are far more interesting than the sh...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I have recently discovered a common thread among my friends who like the show..... Every one of them was a fan as of late, meaning that they didn't watch the original run. I wonder if the majority of us who were disappointed were people that had allowed the show to percolate in our brains for 25 yea...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I really believe that if social media weren't available during this Season 3 run, many more of us would be just fine with the show as is. Disappointed perhaps, but it seems to me (and I'm one of them) that our collective disappointment contributes to the overall feeling....that we amplify each other...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Having watched part 17 last night, I'm more convinced than ever that certain scenes from 18 occur before the sheriff station scene. That said, I found it much more enjoyable knowing the failures of the series (to me), so I could look for clues to "why." Someday, I'll go back. For now, I re...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Just think how good this would have been were there constraints on the length and focus, ala traditional TV, or a studio driven film. Lynch is pretty damn awesome when he's held to material and tightening up a scene. He's awful when unleashed.

Re: RE: Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

First time in this thread so sorry if I repeat any tired arguments. Most of my friends loved it, others thought it was bullshit. The difference separating them is that those who disliked it went in with more expectations, I think: whether it was cherry pie or a storyline structure that's even passa...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Way too many tailing off storylines, plots and pointless cameos. A tight cohesive story would have capped a legendary career. We did get Lynch, full bore. ..that's true. The problem was the emphasis on BORE.

Re: What were the most impactful scenes of TP:TR?

Second favorite would be the entire "this is the chair" sequence. It was so 1990 and made me feel good inside, especially with Bobby's bittersweet smile.

Re: What were the most impactful scenes of TP:TR?

My favorite scene in the show, by far, was Albert and Gordon after meeting with Doppelganger Cooper. Incredible scene (as soon as Tammy walked away).
