Re: General Discussion on Season 3 (All Opinions Welcome)

The more I think about Season 3, the more it occurs to me: -ANY 'reunion show' that returns after so many years is bound to create the disgruntled, the unsatisfied, the unhappy. -No matter what final product was created, there was going to be a 'Profoundly Disappointed' group. The passage of time al...

Re: Watchmen

Anybody watching the HBO show? As a longtime fan of the comic (and of Damon Lindelof’s TV work), I’m really enjoying it. The Jeremy Irons stuff is clearly influenced by Audrey Horne on TP:TR (not tonally, but in terms of the disorientation re: time/place/context). Irons is having the time of his da...

Actually, you guys have peaked my interest. It sounds different, much different, than just another guys and girls in tights saving the world.

Agent Earle wrote:To sum it all up, there's practically nothing here that would justify them releasing - and me purchasing - this "new" set. Nothing of essence, at least.

I have to agree with you on this one.

I think you meant to write close zero chance they don’t know if the rumors. I agree with that.

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Their silence could mean a few things: it could mean the rumors are true or it could mean they no longer feel the need to shut down rumors etc. Exactly. But the person I'm conversing (not fighting) with disagrees and thinks it can only mean the former. That's all I'm saying. I think the person you ...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Of course Lynch, Frost and Sutherland know about the rumors. They don’t live in a bubble. We are in the Internet age. Twin Peaks is a major income generating asset for all these people. I pay attention to politics as much as Frost; I pay more attention to my sources of income and I suspect he does t...

Re: Wasn't the killer obvious? (SPOILERS)

I don't think the scenes with the grieving Leland gets less profound after the reveal. For one, he might have suppressed all the memories of the murder/abuse (due to him being possessed). He could also have remembered all of his actions, though the way he behaved doesn't need to come off as fake in...

Re: Do you honestly believe there will be more Twin Peaks?

The ultimate 'slapping a label' on a sequel that really had nothing to do with the original movie, was 'Curse of the Cat People'. It was a great film, but calling it a sequel was a stretch.

As long as what is produced is mind expanding like The Return, I am up for anything.

Re: Wasn't the killer obvious? (SPOILERS)

I thought BOb would end up being a local Satanic cult leader and Laura was the sacrifice. But the Pearl Lakes story was a tip-off- a real live human Bob would be dead or in a nursing home.

Re: Do you honestly believe there will be more Twin Peaks?

I don’t think cast members dying should have much influence. Jack Nance and Frank Silva died in the 90s, followed shortly thereafter by Don Davis. But that didn’t stop Season 3.

One or both of the creators dying would be different, of course.

I wonder if ANYONE guessed Bob was an inhabiting spirit before ep. 13?

Re: Wasn't the killer obvious? (SPOILERS)

When we talking ‘red herrings’, don’t forget BOB himself is a red herring. We don’t know BOB is an inhabiting spirit until episode 13, and even then it’s not explicitly spelled out. I am sure some fans figured that angle out, but I was not one of them. If you figures that out; the identity of the ki...

Re: Would level of involvement from Lynch/Frost would you accept should the show continue?

Hmmmm...as long as what I watch is enjoyable, I will watch it. But as long as Lynch and Frost are both alive, I don’t think It is too likely to get any other combo of director/ writers. But then again, anything is possible. I never thought George Lucas would sell out to Disney.
