Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

It's a fascinating tipic could trauma run so deep in someone's mind that they assume a new identity and erase past memories of an entire 17 years?

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I think of Hawk displaying the map and presenting symbols to us but then there is real no practical journey with the map and symbols. Diane is revealed to be Janey E’s sister in what results to be just arbitrary words. Sarah attacks a man and then next installment is back in her living room. Audrey...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I don't think that season 3 was anywhere near as radical as that though. It wasn't INLAND EMPIRE in 18 hour form. The way it turned out was the result of hasty scripting at the last minute, a perhaps unwise decision to double the length and then a budget which couldn't stretch to the ambition of th...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

At the end of the day, don't we expect great art to be divisive? It's like the classic scenario where two friends go to a museum of modern art;; whatever one thinks is a work of genius the other thinks of as a piece of utter pretentious garbage. Neither of the friends is right or wrong; the art spe...

Re: Season 3, The First Draft - Speculation etc.

I don't think any of it was ever written for Donna. Don't think so either. Season 2 left us with Donna departing the town. It would take more than a little re-writing swapping Gersten's plot for Donna. Besides I think Lynch is a fan of Witt's acting. She is really great in "Hotel Room": I...

Re: Season 3, The First Draft - Speculation etc.

I didn't really miss MJA from the show itself, I thought Gerard combined with Evolution of the Arm worked just as good or better, but I think his presence in the promos would have helped promote the show.

so i watched the premiere again right after finishing the season... just a couple quick, random thoughts (spoilers!): cooper and phyllis were seeing each other? i never put two and two together until hastings mentioned that there was "maybe somebody else" or something along those lines, i...

Re: Sarah’s smile of darkness

Well I guess I view this question the same as the sound from 'listen to the sounds'. An analysis MIGHT yield some important information, but then again, it might not hold any importance whatsoever 'whose' smile it is. As an aside, that scene was one the most difficult part of The Return for me to ge...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Hey folks! Long time. Sorry to see some of my remarks were shared on other fora without my knowledge. I’d naively assumed that what was posted here stayed among friends; if I’d have been asked, I’d have willingly written proper articles open for criticism. It’s been a while and I guess I’d stayed a...

Re: Episode 29

One of the funniest things in this episode, that I don’t believe I’ve ever seen someone mention, is that Audrey and Andrew have a very polite, sweet interaction and she then lets him pass — neither one realizing that she is in fact protesting HIS development! It’s a nice bit of subtle irony that I ...

Re: Art Bell died on Friday the 13th

Not sure if anybody in here listened to Coast to Coast AM radio; Art founded the program in the nineties and it is still on the air. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/obituaries/art-bell-mysterious-narrator-of-the-american-nightscape-is-dead-at-72/2018/04/14/b6f2b278-4015-11e8-974f-aacd97698cef_...

Re: **LISTEN TO THE SOUNDS** - I've completed a 16.5 hour long downloadable "audiobook" version of Season 3.

I think the Rancho Rosa are part of the TV experience for sure, but I'm looking for a potential movie experience. A sort of hypothetical what-if-this-was-shown-in-cinemas-instead-of-TV. It wouldn't work on Netflix because I actually want someone - preferably Lynch, however unlikely - to do it this ...
