Re: Mark Frost AMA on Reddit 11/8 @ 10 AM Pacific

Very nice! Hey Lonelysoul, I'm kind of living off the grid right now and wondering if you'd be so kind to forward some questions. 1) Were any plot elements we've seen in season 3 conceptualized or outlined in the early 90's when Twin Peaks was still happening? If so, which? 2) Joudy or Jow-day? And...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

We know based on statements he made in the past that, at least at certain points in history, he had simply not bothered to read the Peaks books. I seriously doubt he's read MLMT or the Access Guide or bothered to listen to the "Diane..." audio book. Likewise, it seems unlikely that he's r...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

Also, isn't there some story about Lynch telling his mother not to go see Blue Velvet when it came out because he thought she'd be disturbed or offended by it?

I could be wrong, but I thought Kyle said this about his mom.

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

According to Jen Lynch, he didn't read the Diary of Laura Palmer either. Not sure if it's 'assholeish' or simply that Lynch prefers his films to stand alone. He tolerates the spinoff material, but that doesn't mean he necessarily likes the idea. I never said he had to like any of the books or even ...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

Great analysis, Reindeer! One thing you said is something I have strong opinions on and want to throw out here: I wonder if DKL pays someone to read these books and summarize them before release so he can give feedback on what he doesn’t want revealed, or if he just prefers to remain blissfully unaw...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

I have a question about everyone's favorite subplot. Shockingly, Evelyn Marsh and (indirectly) Malcolm Sloan and Jeffrey Marsh are all mentioned in this book. They're not characters I ever expected to hear about ever again. Anyway, Preston says something along the lines of how James skips town durin...

Another thing I forgot to mention in my list above - what was up with Renault at the Roadhouse and the phone call about the two underage girls? Why was that left hanging?

Freddie, or Why the Wind was Sucked Out of the Sails

I thought Freddie was kind of a neat character. I don't know why, as important as he became, he didn't get more development time. We see him in Part 2 for a second, then we see him dump his whole backstory exposition style (ugh) and then suddenly he is the guy who destroys BOB. So about Freddie and ...

Re: S3: Biggest Disappointment About Unresolved Subplots?

There are so many things to mention: ⋅  The importance/purpose of the hit-and-run death. It was a great sequence that never went anywhere. We see Andy talking to that random truck owner, but nothing ever happened. Who was that guy? Why is Andy such a terrible cop? ⋅  What, if any...
