Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

Someone on Reddit mentioned that some of the shots in the first scene with Gordon, Albert and Tammy are played in reverse – noticeable by the backwards blinking. I'm rewatching tonight and will look out for this, but did anyone spot this? I watched with headphones and clearly heard a backwards soun...

Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)

Why do you think they picked an Abraham Lincoln impersonator to play the main Woodsman? It has to be intentional, right? I mean, the guy has only played Abe Lincoln in all his credited roles until Twin Peaks. Can't imagine that Johanna Ray randomly discovered him, unless she was specifically lookin...

Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)

Did anyone else get Night of the Living Dead vibes from the black and white scenes from the New Mexico town? That is one of my all time favorite movies with that haunting and powerful political/social commentary on humanity at the end. I was more thinking of films like the Amazing Colossal Man, whi...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

I think the change of clientele in the RR is prolly just a continuity error in shooting and editing. Maybe not even an error per se; they filmed the series like one long episode with no tangible breaks. They needed to end the episode there, so threw in some B-roll to extend the scene and let the cr...

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (Spoilers)

Dougie I suppose is an offshoot of BadCoop/BOB, just like how MIKE severed his arm and spawned TMFAP. A loop hole of sorts that allows BOB to remain in our world.

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (Spoilers)

Hello guys. In the beginning i thought Coop was "ill" cause of the 25 years spent in the lodge. But then i re watched and I've seen that in the lodge he's "fine" (fine is a euphemism. I know.). I mean, he was totally able to interact and understand. He also talked, as if he was ...

Re: POLL: Predict BOB for S3 [Book spoilers permitted]

I always reckoned Lynch had archival footage and alternate takes of Silva that he could incorporate into the new show; just as he did in the season 2 opener with the shot of BOB running down the hospital corridor -- that was filmed for the pilot, I believe, or early season 1, and he simply reutilisi...

Did anyone see what Michael J Anderson wrote on his Facebook account? Not sure if it's old but it popped up on my feed ten minutes ago:

Re: Using unseen material from the old series

Seeing old footage of Silva would really be like seeing a ghost. I hope Lynch dives into some old reels for footage he never used (I believe the shot of BOB racing towards the camera in the season 2 pilot was originally shot for season 1 or the pilot?)

Re: OT: The X-Files revival

I'm also a little bewildered by all of the time spent with M&S being maudlin about William, their son, who most casual viewers probably don't even really remember or care about, and whom even the writers shuttled off the show so that they wouldn't have to worry about continuing to write Mulder ...

Re: OT: The X-Files revival

I love The X Files. Recently, I compiled all of the best mythology and standalone episodes (about 85 eps spread from season 1-8) and watched them all and it was fantastic. Some truly great stuff in there, especially when you can avoid the dross. The plot was surprisingly not-so-complicated that way,...

I'm also heavily into the X-Files and it's a delight seeing the many cast members both shows share: http://i.imgur.com/WJDq2uC.png Off the top of my head, Don Davis played Scully's father in season 1's 'Beyond the Sea' (brilliant episode featuring Brad Dourif), Michael J. Anderson appears in Darin M...

Re: FWWM and TP: Disparities and Explanations?

I thnk that's more to do with the circularity of time; "It is happening again" and will always be destined to happen again and again. There's a lot in TP to be made of cycles and circular objects. I think the Lodge exists independently of time, but doesn't affect timelines, the past or pr...
