Re: Part 5 (SPOILERS)
I think the biggest difference and the biggest frustration with this new season 3 of Twin Peaks is that I feel I'm on the periphery of the story looking in. With the original twin Peaks I was immediately ensconced in the world of Twin Peaks It was warm, cozy like a blanket but there were these unset...

Re: The Straight Story 2-disc blu-ray
Amazon.jp
That's where I purchased mine (2-Disc version).
may have used copies.
Try YesAsia.com as well.
After that... eBay.
It's criminal this forum doesn't even have a Straight Story section.
On youtube I found a great interview with Charlie Rose and David Lynch talking about the Straight Story.

Re: Love MD but hate the ending
Is the end really sad ? I wonder ? At the end, isn't she free ? Diane has made something horrible. She pays the price and, leaving this world, she reminds only the good time, leaving behind her all her sins and the last few weeks that were just... awfull. For Blue Velvet, there's a happy end but I ...

Re: Rumored Blu-Ray Release
MD is indeed coming out on Criterion Blu-ray. With extras too. It's not confirmed at all, it's a rumor started a year or so ago after the Criterion Tumblr (which posts oddities from the movie world) posted a picture of the note Lynch sent out to projectionists. Since then so many sites and pe...

Re: ERASERHEAD at the USC School of Cinematic Arts on 11/20/
I missed the Eraserhead screening! Of course I was out of town shooting a commercial on the day of the screening.
Did anyone go to the Eraserhead screening at USC with some of the cast? If so, can you tell us how the event was?

David Lynch has a new script completed
David Lynch does have a new script completed. I was on the set of a completely unrelated pilot shooting in Los Angeles and struck up a conversation with a studio exec who is six degrees separated from DL. Said script is done search for financing has commenced. That's all for now...

Disney's 20,000 Leagues + Dune ...a connection?
http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/7780/letonemo.jpg Don't ask me why, but I was revisiting Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Yeah the one from 1954 and starring Kirk Douglas. It's a goofy film but there is a scene of an underwater funeral and the soundtrack swells with an unmistakable overture ...

Re: Kyle MacLachlan's cowlick...
Ha. Can't believe we're talking about this but... You're referring to the spiked part of his hair. It's not really a cowlick. It's been cut that way. A very 80's style. Look at any band videos from the 80's like Talk Talk, etc. you'll see similar hairstyles. Anyway, you're "totally" right....

Re: Eraserhead Japanese Blu-ray
I agree. The case alone is worth the buy. And when it said Remastered by David Lynch for the 35th Anniversary that's 1977... 2012! So this must be the transfer he supervised... I suspect right after he did Blue Velvet. Not the Eraserhead 2000 edition. I'm tempted to make the plunge but know when I d...
