Re: Numerology in TP:TR (spoilers)

the Fireman's Nazi Bell rings 64 times before the Fireman shuts it off. 8 times 8. I only bring it up because it had to be a conscience decision by someone on how many times it rings. Any number would have been sufficient -- but the fact the scene went on longer than needed makes me think that numbe...

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)

The buzz and excitement is far from over. After an entire year, I am still enthralled by Twin Peaks, still digesting everything and processing the many layers. Most shows are slick but shallow. You consume them, experience a brief satisfaction, then they are quickly forgotten, having left no real i...

I would watch it no matter what. It would still be better than 90% of shows.
And i wouldn't have expectations like for S3.

Re: What's your favourite scene from The Return?

all the scenes were excellent. but the one scene that captured the Mood of this show perfectly, for me anyway, is the one where Cooper is staring at the statue while Johnny Jewel music is playing over it. I even thought it was a huge strength that is was split over the 2 eps so that mood could carry...

Re: Theories & Speculation (SPOILERS)

It was Dale Cooper who said "The past dictates the future" and today I hit upon this sentence from our late and beloved Stephen Hawking "It’s the past that tells us who we are. Without it we lose our identity." But he is sure about time travel. In 1991, he enunciated what he cal...

Re: Missing Pages - Annie

The Harold/diary thing has been a mess since FWWM, where Laura implies she is leaving her diary with him never to see it again, despite Episode 16 showing diary entries written 2/22 and 2/24. You’re right, it’s even more problematic that apparently two of the four pages torn out by Leland/Bob were ...

Missing Pages - Annie

re-watched FWWM last night -- saw something that seems whacked so i am hoping someone can let me know where i am wrong. Laura discovers pages of her diary have been torn out -- and then gives the diary to Harold for safekeeping. Later on --- Annie says "Good Dale is in the Lodge, etc" , &q...

Dougie V.2 - Tulpa rules

Just spitballing this one …. Is there any chance the Dougie Tulpa V.2 creation "pushed" Coop back into the Waiting Room? I’ve been trying to figure out why the need for the 2nd exit in S3E18 for a while now. A number of posters mentioned they had the feeling this exit took place in lieu of...

Re: Ray/Phillip Jeffries storyline

Two people gave Mr. C the same set of coordinates, which (impliedly) led to the location where Richard gets fried (which — again impliedly — would have also been Mr. C’s fate). One person gave him the — impliedly — correct coordinates which lead to the Fireman’s, but cause him to be trapped, redire...

Re: Cooper's conversation with The Fireman in episode 1 (linear and non-linear approaches)

I now really think that the conversation is that last thing (chronologically) that we see in the series. Cooper is very far away. He is asked to remember Richard and Linda from his past. i.e. this scene somehow shows us a future Cooper in peril being guided by the Fireman to get out of it. It's pos...

Re: Theories & Speculation (SPOILERS)

I haven't seen this posted yet, sorry if it's been noted. But i truly believe that Tracy was sent to bang Sam by Mr. C. Watching again it's just too cozy an arrangement and it would explain why the guards weren't present the 2nd time. Mr.C hires them and could easily give them a "stand down&qu...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

So can anyone tell me if anybody has yet got to the bottom of why evil Coop had a dog leg in the boot of his car? Does it really matter? No, it doesn't, and that was the point of my post 8) There appears to be an irony bypass in this thread. :) The dog leg was what he used to convince the Warden to...

Re: My miss the show and the characters

I have binged these eps countless times, fall asleep to my DVR every night (have to be careful what ep i queue up because the Car Horn scene with the screaming woman is not what i am looking for) and just when i thought the chat boards would die it seems we are still discussing it. Time flies krishn...

Re: Theories & Speculation (SPOILERS)

i'm thinking the phone call to Mr. C (5 days ago) was made by Albert. End of ep 4 Cole claimed he saw a look in Albert that he hadn't seen before at the meet and greet. Albert gave him a story, maybe true, maybe false or in between. But not much weight given to it lately and i think that might be te...
