Re: Part 11 - There's fire where you are going (SPOILERS)
On his latest interview with KEXP, Dean Hurley pointed out that the Shawn Colvin cover is from the same Doc Pomus tribute album as Lou Reed's cover of "This Magic Moment," which DKL of course used in Lost Highway . Doc Pomus's funeral was also where Lou Reed heard Jimmy Scott sing which l...

Re: Part 11 - There's fire where you are going (SPOILERS)
The pianist was playing a rendition of this New Order track at the beginning of the scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZCzJRXvpCg What do I get out of this? I always try, I always miss One of these days you'll go back to your home You won't even notice that you are alone Damn, that was what it...

Re: Episode 24
I really like the energy in this episode. Foley is a surprisingly good comedy director. It's so good to see Shelly actually happy for possibly the first time in the entire show. The way she jokes with Norma always makes me smile. If anyone has earned the right to be happy it's her. And does no one e...

Re: Episode 18
Yes, that Leland Palmer 'Laid To Rest, Community Mourns' headline makes me wonder whether details of the story was somehow suppressed and everybody somehow forgets he killed Laura and at least three other people over the next few episodes. it's fleetingly mentioned here a couple of times – Ben, the...

Re: Episode 19
I don't think I've seen this mentioned in the thread, but I love the Ed/Norma scene. While I generally tend to disfavor TP's more "soapy" aspects, these two consistently embody the romance of the series far better than Donna/James, Coop/Annie, or any other couple I can think of. The actor...

That's how I see it too, Renault was completely taken by surprise. I love how he died tried to reach for his gun as he was dying. I felt that his "you brought the evil" speech to Cooper sounds like it was dialogue that belonged to someone else. It would have made much more sense and been f...

This is a random question that will probably be left answered, but does anyone know if the album at the front of Dr Jacoby's record collection has ever been identified?

Re: David Lynch as a Feminist History
No chance that talk is online anywhere, is there? It sounds very interesting. I was just thinking the other day how one of the most unusual things about Twin Peaks is that it led a Reagan Republican to shift his story's hero from a straight-edge FBI agent to a bisexual abuse victim and addict. Sorr...

Re: Any swedish tp fans in malmoe?
I don't live there but I visited in 2002 and met the biggest Twin Peaks fan I've ever met in Malmö. He was from Lulea and learned to speak English by watching the series over and over. He could quote swathes of dialogue. His name was Kristian.

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Hey thanks. I'll try to remember to update it tomorrow. You're welcome. btw I recently interviewed Frost and asked him about this and about timelines in general. His answer, "the truth is a land of many paths". You don't happen to know what page the death date of Milford is listed on, do ...

One discrepancy between the book and the show I spotted that isn't in LonelySoul's Google Doc: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XEvoZzu9XUU13cWcELbJ3vQ2M--lnnGowrElBTRec8M/edit#gid=0 According to TSHoTP Dougie Milford dies March 25, 1989. Silver foil on Einar's suit
Having finally watched my Twin Peaks blu ray on a big screen for the first time, I noticed that in Episode 7, just as Ben and Einar are signing the Ghostwood estate deal, Einar has a odd piece of silver foil wrapped over part of his left lapel. It seems like something done intentionally, it looks li...

Re: Planning to attend the 2016 Twin Peaks Fest?
Cool deal. When it gets closer I'm going to gauge interest in dugpa members seeking each other out at the Fest, either just to say hi, or perhaps even arrange a separate meetup to scout out new (spoilery) shooting locations. -Mordeen I'd love to catch up with Dugpa members outside of the fest and s...
