Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group
I am still processing S3 and I am still not sure how it affects my near-three decade fandom. It's not like your favourite band got back together and made a crappy album. I could ignore S3 yet at the back of my mind will always be what happened next - knowing what happened with these characters or th...

Maybe they are profoundly disappointed at the amount of screen time they got (and resultant cheque) so are lobbying for one - final - pay day.Jerry Horne wrote:
I'm not sure who started it. It seems there are some folks out there who want a fourth season. Interestingly enough, I've seen many crew members involved.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Robert Knepper has been accused of historical assault so that may impact on some people's desire to rewatch the show.

Re: Diane (SPOILERS)
As it's thrown out there and never mentioned again, it probably has no deeper significance.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
I think it shows remarkable writing craft to think Lynch and Frost must have sat and discussed whether or not doppelgangers would have properly functioning testicles. They had to have that conversation, right? Otherwise how could BadCoop father a child? Man, the sheer depth of world building they we...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Anyone 'Disappointed' folks going to the UK Peaks Fest this weekend? Not sure how I would feel. Think being surrounded by so much positivity might make me want to re-enact the Civil War.

If there are two breadcrumbs, that's the beginning of a trail. One crumb offers nothing, no direction or even an indication whether it's a trail at all.

Re: FINAL POLL!!!!!!! Your Reaction to The Return as a Complete Work
We do actually know what BadCoop wants, we just don't know why and, as a result, the stakes are non-existent. Maybe 'Playing Card' borrowed one of his Willie Nelson CDs and he wants it back?

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
I just mashed my own brain by thinking "Instead of an 18 part TV show, what if L&F had made 9 TP films?"

Re: Dougie Jones Discussion
It's banal to say that if Cooper had woken up after two episodes S3 would have been a "joke". If L&F had wanted him to wake up then, the story would have clearly gone in a different direction. Maybe Cooper would have been involved in actually trying to track down BadCoop. It might have...

Of course they have ideas for another season - it will be about living inside a dream. But who is the dreamer, etc.

Re: An apologia for Sarah
I suppose asking why Sarah hasn't been arrested for killing a guy is just me not accepting S3's radical re-writing the rules of narrative. Then she could be in the cells when BadCoop came to town and, well, imagine the theories!
