Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)

I’m guessing you know this, but Lynch & Badalamenti recently released their song of the same name, which was recorded in the 1992-93 period shortly after FWWM, and has a “storyline” similar to the description of the game. I knew there was a song of the same name, but I haven't got the album yet...

Or the site was from an alternate timeline... You just got Mandela Effected, haha. Sounds like an interesting site though! Going back to Part 8 (& TP/Lynch in general), the woodsmen/alien thing you brought up makes me think of 'Woodcutters from Fiery Ships' ( http://www.thecityofabsurdit...

Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)

... there is a story in this reality of a couple in the same year of 1956, that happened to be driving down a highway and ended up seeing an alien... (could be related.) Hi Capeditiea, & welcome to the board! I was just wondering what incident you were referring to here? There were quite a wave...

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)

Semi related article from a few years back that I thought was really good and found very relevant to this show Interesting indeed. I like the balance a few 90s TV shows had between standalone episodes & mythology arcs. In X-Files, for example -- particularly the earlier seasons -- the standalon...

Maybe I've had too much wine, but when I first saw her face (sans body) for a split second I thought "Denise?"

Re: No Ray Wise?

From my point of view, the Return was (on one level!) about the tyrannical/negative aspect of the Mother, contrasted with the original run / FWWM which focussed on the tyrannical/negative Father. Seeing as Sarah was used sparingly -- but effectively -- in the Return (despite the feeling that she hov...

I was giving Chinatown a watch after not having seen it for a few years; noticed a familiar looking distinctive gunshot wound:

I remember freeze framing Pretty as a Picture to read the lyrics that were visible! Haha, that's great, me too! Hadn’t heard “Salt Bird.” Great stuff, thanks! The music video on YouTube features masks that look eerily like the Jumping Man’s mask... I haven't actually watched the clip in years, but ...

Re: Thought Gang Album Out November 2

While we’re on the subject of obscure Lynch/Badalamenti musical arcana, not sure how many are familiar with this 1996 recording collaboration with Monty “The Cowboy” Montgomery’s then-wife Jocelyn West, “And Still.” It’s a beautiful song in the Julee Cruise vein, and notably mentions both a woodsma...

When I heard that sound at the very start of the new Peaks credits, my take was that it was an even more distorted/hidden version. It's a bit of a stretch, but that's what jumped in my head.
