Re: Numerology in TP:TR (spoilers)

To this day, when the Evolution of the Arm says "253 again and again" according to the subtitles I hear "257"

Obviously the importance of the number in the show points to the fact it said 253 but I have no idea why my brain never hears that

Re: General Discussion on Season 3 (All Opinions Welcome)

On The Ringer's The Watch podcast, Sam Esmail once again guest-starred and they did their top ten shows of the decade. Sam Esmail chose Twin Peaks: The Return, stating it was the best by a mile, that it's the 2001: A Space Odyssey of this generation, and that he finds it galling that it's not being...

Re: Does Between Two Worlds indicate Lynch had different plans for S3?

Especially featuring Sarah, Leland, and Laura. What we see in "Between Two Worlds" teases a much different story and one that sounds better. A Sarah wracked with grief (which we did see, but no indication of a Judy possession here). Curious lines from Leland and especially Laura here too....

Re: Cooper's conversation with The Fireman in episode 1 (linear and non-linear approaches)

My personal canon has the conversation between Cooper and The Fireman happening while he is in the coma after being electrocuted.

Enjoyed the first one so much that we made a second one. Available on ITunes and Podcast App by searching for "Dick Tremayne and the Menswear Five" or on Soundcloud at: https://soundcloud.com/john-callum-carruthers/dick-tremayne-and-the-menswear-five-episode-001 https://soundcloud.com/john...

Re: Poll: Were Gordon and Tammy initimates (if ya know what I mean)?

I reckon Tammy had a bit of a crush on Gordon... and he probably would have. But I don't think anything really happened. They were definitely close. What about that scene where the two of them are observing Albert and Constance and Gordon touches her on the small of the back. It gave me the feeling...

When Lodge entities refer to Dale Cooper as "Agent Cooper!" maybe they don't mean FBI Special Agent?

Maybe he is an Agent of The White Lodge?

Re: Theresa Banks, timelines, and more

I've never really been clear on why the FBI was involved in Teresa's case to begin with, other than Gordon presumably recognizing a Blue Rose case. But I imagine he would still need some pretense of jurisdiction. Maybe that's the real reason the Deer Meadow Sheriff Department were so pissy with the...

Re: Theresa Banks, timelines, and more

How so? BOB had been abusing Laura thru Leland since she was 12, long before Teresa ever came into the picture. I don't see how saving Teresa affects Laura's murder in any way. Because he can solve the mystery before the murder occurs. Save Theresa, stop Leland, tell Chet! Done! If by "solve t...

Re: Theresa Banks, timelines, and more

I guess Laura was the more personal mission for Dale. Teresa was Desmond's investigation, Dale spent about a day doing a cursory follow-up, more interested in Chet's disappearance than the actual murder, whereas he spent over a month falling in love with the townspeople of TP. Saving Laura is as mu...
