Re: Twin Peaks: From Z To A 12/10 & The Television Collection 10/15 Blu-Ray & DVD Sets

It's unlikely this would happen, but I would love to see a feature with Frost discussing the writing process for the new season: what aspects of their original planned Season 3 in the 1990s made it into the Return; what the first draft of the Return looked like; and what they had to change when tale...

Re: Three Days Later (between ep. 16 & 17)

It really is a shame we didn't get to see all the different characters reacting to the revelation about Leland. Contrasting their reactions to that with their earlier reactions to Laura's death could have served as a bit of an inflection point for the series, allowing us to see how far all of they'...

Re: Three Days Later (between ep. 16 & 17)

I wish they'd kept Laura's death as the central axle nearly all the other stories revolve around and Leland's death could have deepened the main mystery instead of (mainly) drawing a line under it. Yes, and the fantastic 'Journey Through Twin Peaks' video series pretty much has the same hypothesis....

Re: Three Days Later (between ep. 16 & 17)

- Philip Gerard might have died as well. He was not in good shape when we last saw him in ep. 16, but doesn't appear in the Red Room in the finale (although he seems to live in the Red Room by S3). Perhaps he recovered and hit the road during these three days, but if he did survive, I imagine that ...

Re: Season 1 episode 7 script

That’s my guess too. Interesting that it ended being arguably three separate characters (Leland, Josie, and whoever that was in E2...although the argument could be made that it was Leland stalking Leo in E2, since Leo never acknowledges that he has anyone with him and might just think Bobby is tryi...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

I love The Return, but I'm so hesitant about all this. I can't deny I would be open to, and excited for, a potential season 4. But I can't help thinking that a further continuation could leave all the really poignant themes of finality and loss in season 3 a little less potent. In my opinion the st...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Why do you think they'd move it to CBS All Access from Showtime? This is all speculation but my guess is the incremental viewership Twin Peaks would bring would have more of an impact on the All Access subscriber base than on Showtime's. A lot of Twin Peaks viewers were already subscribers to Showt...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Like most of you, I feel that the likelihood of a Season 4 will rest 99.9% on Lynch's and Frost's positions rather than on corporate/financial pressures. That being said, I could see Season 4 being a PERFECT fit for CBS's All Access Streaming Platform. I am sure the CBS executives are looking at the...

Re: Original Season 3 Plans

Good eye! That being said, the link is for a fan made transcript of ep.19 and not the actual script, so the table being formica might not have been important to Peyton/Engels. Would be interesting to see the actual script. I checked the actual script, and there's no mention of the table being formi...

Re: Season 3, The First Draft - Speculation etc.

On a related note, how awesome would it be if Lynch and Frost allowed the original draft to be published (along with annotations) as a pseudo-third volume of the Secret History/Final dossier series? I know the chances are incredibly slim, given Lynch's reluctance to comment on his works, but it woul...

Re: Season 3, The First Draft - Speculation etc.

Man From Another Place and Philip Gerard[/b]: It’s too bad about Michael J. Anderson. What a treat it would be to see the Episode 2 Red Room sequence come together again in Part 2 of the new season again. I would have loved to see how they would have handled the Red Room sequences with Anderson. Wo...

Re: Black Lodge/White Lodge mythology

This is all just speculation, but Phillip Gerard's M.O. is different in S3. He's almost like Cooper's mystical Q (Bond Q, not Star Trek Q). That's not a complaint... just as amused observation. Very interesting. I also wonder what Gerard's role would have been in the new series had Michael J. Ander...

Re: Black Lodge/White Lodge mythology

Based on what happened at the Sheriff's Station, it appears as though BOB could easily dispatch Dale Cooper, but the question remains as to whether or not a BOB-inhabited Mr. C could do the same. Good point, though it does illustrate one of the things I least liked about 'The Return.' I absolutely ...
