Re: Black Lodge/White Lodge mythology

This is all just speculation, but Phillip Gerard's M.O. is different in S3. He's almost like Cooper's mystical Q (Bond Q, not Star Trek Q). That's not a complaint... just as amused observation. Very interesting. I also wonder what Gerard's role would have been in the new series had Michael J. Ander...

Re: Black Lodge/White Lodge mythology

Based on what happened at the Sheriff's Station, it appears as though BOB could easily dispatch Dale Cooper, but the question remains as to whether or not a BOB-inhabited Mr. C could do the same. Good point, though it does illustrate one of the things I least liked about 'The Return.' I absolutely ...

Re: Black Lodge/White Lodge mythology

Here's a question: Why on earth would Mr. C leave this to hired goons? Wouldn't he want to handle this with his own two hands? After all, that's the only way to ensure something is done to your satisfaction. My take is that the window to access the Fireman's realm was very tight, and it overlapped ...

Re: Black Lodge/White Lodge mythology

Random question, and sorry, I haven't rewatched S3 in a while... I forget, how does Mr. C even know Coop was able to safely escape the Lodge to order the hit in Vegas? Couldn't he have just safely assumed Dougie the tulpa was sucked back in instead as he planned? As I understood it, Mr. C knew that...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

[ Frost implies the world will end if Judy and Bob meet, so I don't think she's been harboring Sarah until recently, the frog has been dormant. Otherwise I don't see why the world didn't end much, much earlier if Judy and Bob were living together... Also it doesn't make sense that Dopplecoop needs ...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

I am going with the thought that Sarah Palmer doesn't become fully possessed by Judy until it's released from the glass box, the Frog Bug is just something that was planted in her that marks her as a person that Judy can possess Ah, good point. Yeah, I could see that being the case. But this sort o...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

The motive to mate with Judy to bring about the end of the world. But didn't that already kinda happen with Sarah/Joudy mating with Leland/BOB to produce Laura? Why would a union with the Double/BOB and Sarah/Joudy be any more calamitous than that? The only explanation I can think of is that the Do...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

Just finished the book and, on a whole, I found it a lot more enjoyable than THE SECRET HISTORY. While I admire Frost's attempts in that first book at sticking to the epistolary format, I much prefer a more straightforward, chronological narrative, which is more in line with what we're getting in TF...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

Am I the only one who is convinced Bobby or Shelly killed Leo? The cops didn't know that Windom Earle left Leo alive so there was no probable cause to charge them. Also Shelly had no way of knowing Leo wasn't evil anymore since he had tried to kill her last they met. I can't figure out how they loc...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31

I have to say, though, I find Mark’s approach to the other characters in TSH uneven. Pretty much EVERYONE has Albert-esque snarkiness to some degree, even Hawk and Major Briggs. It works for Albert, but I like it less as the sort of “house style.” Agree 100%. And all it does it make me wish that Al...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31

It's interesting to read these pages because Frost clearly demonstrates a surprising knack for remembering a lot of details from the latter half of Season 2, like Leo's shock collar, birthday cake crumbs in his hair, etc. It just makes it even more odd that he would forget things like Ed an...

Also,

Spoiler:
Richard Horne is confirmed to have been born approximately nine months after the S2 finale, basically confirming that Evil Coop raped a comatose Audrey when they were both in the hospital.

Re: Favourite Music from the TP Collection to Date

It's hard for me to divorce the music from the visuals but I love the version of the main theme that plays when Ben Horne watches home movies of the Great Northern groundbreaking ceremony (I believe it's called "Twin Peaks Theme (Harp and Guitar)" on the Archive album). I also love the &qu...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

Stray observation here, but I'm wondering if the twist ending of this Part (Audrey in some sort of dream/hospital/sanitarium) is the main reason that the 'Secret Lives of Twin Peaks' was rejiggered into two books, with only the second one detailing what happens in between series. Certainly, any refe...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

As frustrated as I am that the 'real' Cooper has more-or-less been kept from us for the past 10+ episodes, saving his 'return' until the very end does allow them to avoid dealing (too much) with the baggage that comes with a 'man out of time' storyline. If he returned in episode 5 or 6, we'd undoubt...
