Re: Part 13 - What story is that, Charlie? (SPOILERS)
Does it blow anyone else's mind that Bobby punched Ed in the head in the pilot and now they're just two buds eating dinner with each other at the RR? That and James have left me with the doofiest grin on my face.

Re: The Roadhouse scenes performances (SPOILERS)
My thoughts on James:
Fuck, time for the Roadhouse already.
Fuck, it's the MC announcing some big unPeaksy act.
Whaaaaaaaaa???
Really??
Lol
Wait, he's gonna do it the same way?
Huh.
Aww, she's crying.

Re: The Roadhouse scenes performances (SPOILERS)
Part 12 was Chromatics doing Saturday from Johnny Jewel's Windwept album...the album version is better and has Ruth singing. It's a little spare love song and it's great. Cheating and ambivalence...seems appropriate in the wake of Audrey's scene and the gossiping Roadhouse girls. Chromatics, Rebekah...

Re: Part 12 - Let's rock (SPOILERS)
btw, that was some really bad overacting by audrey in that scene. I don't know, dude. You ever been married? The huffing, the puffing, the impatience, the GET. YOUR. JACKET. ASSHOLE. It happens and I'm guilty of being theatrical. I felt the way we were air-dropped into this banal stalemate was sort...

Re: Part 10 - Laura is the one (SPOILERS)
I don't get why they are seemingly making Richard Horne and Steven Burnett so similar. In the original show we had Leo and Hank, both were bad news but only one of them hit his wife. They were "bad" but in different ways. In this show, it's like there's two Leos. Why did they do this? Wil...

Re: The Roadhouse scenes performances (SPOILERS)
I've read a lot of negative reviews of Rebekah's Roadhouse performance mainly related to the autotuning, which I didn't notice and am not qualified to speak about. Is it the sort of metallic background noise? I was initially extremely annoyed and anxious, since I wanted more plot and we never know w...

That's really funny because I kinda liked their song in Part 9, too, and it sort of pisses me off that I find myself humming it lately. Well played, insidious hipsters, well played.BOB1 wrote: ... but I just wasn't. And here I liked it even more.

I really thought the Deer Meadow Shuffle was great as the LV cops were backslapping in the parking lot...I assumed from that musical cue and Ike's hasty packing that they'd completely bungle the takedown. I don't know about Albert, but I'm in love with Constance. Diane getting either harrassment or ...

I'll be real disappointed if Laura is predestined for what happened. But I also agree with the above dudes who said don't worry yet. Maybe we all have gold balls and Senorita Dido's kiss was just "good luck, kid".

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
I can't agree that the "characterful" side of Twin Peaks in the original show was only there to be deconstructed. It was a major focal point of the show, and it leads directly on to The Straight Story in Lynch's oeuvre, which is one of the most humane and compassionate films I've ever seen...

Re: Annie Speculation (SPOILERS)
^Framed_Angel that was some really nice theorizing in response to my gossipy curiosity.
Annie definitely has secrets, whether we're going to find out her personal secrets or whether she is a doomed Eurydice archetype is something I'm looking forward to!

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome) (SPOILERS)
I'll bet some people called friends and just said "This is the water, and this is the well. Drink full and descend. The horse is the white of the eyes, and dark within." Hopefully with one of those serial killer voice scrambler things. Watched it again, and since I knew we weren't getting...

Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)
I just rewatched and retract my bad opinion of the roadhouse bit. Without the gnawing anxiety about whether I'm going to see characters I was able to really appreciate the spectacle, and the NIN performance flew by. I liked the female vocalist's (his wife?) angelic backup, which I barely heard first...
