Re: Understanding When the Dream Began Can Explain Twin Peaks: The Return
Also of note -- although this may have been mentioned -- the thing that wakes Coop up is a line from Sunset Boulevard, where (Sunset Boulevard spoiler follows) the story is being told by a dead person. Saturn's child, that is an excellent catch! And maybe the monkey from FWWM was intended all along...

Re: Understanding When the Dream Began Can Explain Twin Peaks: The Return
Hey, I had a few more thoughts. Remember when Novalis reminded us about that Cooper and Harry dialogue? COOPER Do you know where dreams come from, Harry? TRUMAN Not specifically. COOPER (very happy) Acetylcholine neurons fire high voltage impulses into the forebrain. The impulses become pictures, th...

If Josie did shoot Cooper during Season 1 Episode 7, do you think she could have been wearing dark sunglasses?

Re: Understanding When the Dream Began Can Explain Twin Peaks: The Return
By the way, I used the term "dream" loosely. Dreaming could be what your mind does on a nightly basis or what your mind does after your body has been shot.

Re: Understanding When the Dream Began Can Explain Twin Peaks: The Return
I don't mean to be pedantic and perhaps I'm just being dumb and don't understand: but if what we are seeing is a dream of someone in 1990, why is TPTR filled with technology including Skype and cell phones that Cooper could never have had any exposure to? Sorry if I'm completely missing something. ...

Understanding When the Dream Began Can Explain Twin Peaks: The Return
I appreciate the variety of different interpretations that people have shared about Twin Peaks: The Return. In my opinion, the interpretations suggesting that all or most of the series occurs within a dream seem to fit better than interpretations featuring convoluted alternate timelines and pocket d...

Just before the red box appears on Duncan Todd's screen, you can read the following sentence in the third paragraph of the email.
"To understand how income statements are set up, think of them as a set of stairs."

Jerry Horne wrote:Wild (and wrong) theory that I woke up to: Cooper is in a coma and the Rancho Rosa stuff is a dream he is having on his way to regaining consciousness. Truman is watching over him.
Hey, Jerry Horne. How do you know that your theory is wrong? Maybe the Rancho Rosa stuff is a dream.

Re: silver symbology (Spoilers)
Garethw's point about The Wizard of Oz is really interesting. In his films, Lynch seems to draw more from the film version of WoO than from the books. He has repeatedly referenced Judy Garland and Classical Hollywood cinema. I can't say how much the WoO books matter because I'm honestly not that fam...

Re: Part 5 (SPOILERS)
The prints on screen left have a heading that says "COOPER, DALE," "FBI Central Division," an address in Harrisburg, PA, etc. We can assume those prints are original Cooper's FBI records. Tammy also has a paper copy of those prints in front of the iMac. The prints on screen right...

For those that are wondering about Tammy Preston's investigation of Cooper's fingerprints, here is an image from Photoshop. The green highlighted lines show that the "L Ring Finger" on screen right is indeed a mirrored image of the "L Ring Finger" on screen left. It's a match. An...

What are your theories about the repeated use of "silver" throughout the first five episodes? Here are the instances I noticed. Feel free to add to this list. 1. The Silver Mustang Casino 2. Nevada's license plate says "The Silver State." 3. Argentina means "Land of Silver.&...
