Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

I'm disappointed in - and a little surprised by - those numbers, I'll admit. Mostly because, as mentioned, they'll likely be a deciding factor in a potential season 4. Then again if my guess is correct, a season 4 may prove extemporaneous. We're headed toward a definitive ending, one way or another,...

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (Spoilers)

Watching paint dry indeed! :D Overall, I'm pleased. This is just flat out, bat crap crazy. That first half of epi 3 was absolutely phenomenal, and the Briggs cameo was perfection. But the moment Bobby saw Laura's picture and the music began to play was the first moment since The Log Lady that I real...

Re: Parts 1 + 2 (Spoilers)

I don't think Bad Coop was actually talking with Jeffries. He thought he was at first, but then realizes it's someone else but doesn't know who. That's what I took away from the scene, but may have interpreted it wrong. Hester, I think you're spot on. Watching the scene again now, it's definitely s...

Re: Parts 1 + 2 (Spoilers)

Don't get me wrong, this a whacked out, fun fantasy show, but this isn't the filmic, emotional, grounded-yet-surreal drama series by an enfant-terrible filmmaker from the 1990s that led to a beautiful movie. This is an elderly David Lynch let loose with a load of money to make a thematic sequel to ...

Re: Parts 1 + 2 (Spoilers)

So much to unpack, soak in, ponder. But the single word that keeps popping to mind? Ambitious. This is a sprawling epic with lots of moving parts, and it's surprisingly literary - constructed and paced like a novel. Which in and of itself can be a very problematic thing for a television show. Such p...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

Longest damn Sunday of my life! Watching contortionistic jazz exotica would be preferable to this endless wait right now.

Hey, wait...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

Long time lurker making his first post. Now is as good a time as any. One reason I'm snaking from the shadows to interact a little is to thank everyone here. This amazing forum has been therapy for me. The discussions and posts in this thread alone have helped prepare me, to ease any encroaching anx...
