Re: "Room to Dream" about 'Twin Peaks' (SPOILERS)
I'd be curious to know more about Peyton's contributions to TP in both seasons. I guess he gets a little less attention since he wasn't a co-creator and didn't have anything to do with FWWM, but he certainly had a lot of writing credits - I'm guessing he's at least 4th after Lynch, Frost, and Engels...

Re: "Room to Dream" about 'Twin Peaks' (SPOILERS)
I'd heard a little about this book, but now I'll definitely have to track it down. It's a little disappointing to hear that DL has such little regard for everything in between the pilot and Episode 29, especially when he himself did some great work in there. I love the Log Lady's introductions, and ...

Re: Knowing what we know now, why in the world was Theresa Banks' murder a Blue Rose case?
Agents who work on the blue rose task force are obviously chosen because they are very in touch with their intuition and are willing to use unconventional methods to perform their investigations. I like to view them as either "gifted" or "damned."' Just like Coop knew the killer...

Re: Who is Alice Tremond?
My going theory for a while now has been that some of the Lodge spirits operate on what TV Tropes calls "Blue and Orange Morality" - meaning they aren't easily classified as good or evil or even "gray" so much as they just operate by a set of rules that we don't understand. That...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)
Frost interview: https://thefilmstage.com/features/mark-frost-on-twin-peaks-realistic-endings-and-david-lynchs-consciousness/ Does this all but confirm Laura was still murdered then? That wasn't retroactively wiped out, even with Tammy remembering the "alternate timeline" version of event...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)
"Good-bye, my son." How could Mr C possibly know? Did Richard tell him? Then, how could Richard possibly know, when not even the mother had no clue? ("Two birds one stone" - My Prayer - "... and no songbirds are singing." - Dale and Diane gone and far away, lost their ...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)
Just finished the book the other day, and although it's a little slighter than I thought it would be, I still really enjoyed it. The tragedies of Annie and Audrey were particularly poignant to me and felt tonally in line with what I expected. I'd still love to know whatever happened to Chester Desm...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)
I disagree. Reading between the lines, I can see where you’re coming from. But the only “motive” Tammy presents for the Double’s actions is that he is looking for the “Grand Central Station” vortex/portal, and that he desires greater power — perhaps immortality (p. 110). Later she talks about Ba’al...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)
Now let's go a step further and say you and I created a television series together. I apparently had the time to sit down with you, write a show, direct things your wrote, etc. But then you put out a book about our shared creation and suddenly I'm like, "Eh... nah..." I feel like this wou...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)
I actually had a more optimistic interpretation than others: the book seems to indicate that Annie has an active inner life and has simply chosen to retreat inside herself, as if she has finally let go of her desire to try to integrate into a world that confuses and overwhelms her. Is that depressi...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)
And are we meant to infer that Sarah Judith Nowack Palmer is indeed "Judy"? I don't think she *is* Judy, but rather she has been harboring Judy ever since the encounter with the bug in the '50s. It would appear that Judy only rarely exercises control over her, though. Maybe Sarah's own ps...

Anybody who makes statements starting with "anybody who" is clearly just...hey, wait a second....\Anybody who really admires it just isn't seeing, thinking or hearing straight.

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)
Some initial thoughts and impressions: It appears that Cooper did indeed change history, but in a way that didn't affect the Blue Rose agents. Maybe the effect is stronger the closer you are to Twin Peaks and/or to a Lodge portal in general? It seems like Tammy is starting to be affected before she ...

Re: An apologia for Sarah
And, the notion how "1989 was so long ago" feels too simplistic for me. Not all events fade the same way from memory. It's rather selectively dismissive of one bothersome niche while giving others a pass, assigning each quirk of TPTR a slightly-too-convenient rationale because the irratio...
