Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this? Wisteria/Unrecorded Night? Something else? (Speculation thread.)

Yes, this is what Cooper has been doing all these years in the waiting room, he is merely reading this thread and waiting. And Laura shows up occasionally, and whispers what somebody has just tweeted. I do not think about S4, if it shows up it shows up. And if it does, maybe it'd be fun to turn the ...

Re: For Those Who Were (Mostly) Disappointed with The Return

The repeating names, and classic film actor/character names, in S1 were neat misdirections. Word association is fun. 1-1-9 was all that she said, Loan sharks fear Janey-E, No more coffee, drink some tea, Dougie talk to me. Some random gal has an armpit rash, You still wonder who Billy is, Little gi...

Re: For Those Who Were (Mostly) Disappointed with The Return

I think there is an underground current flowing through the Return, so quite a few things are connected, although there is some fluff as well (well, that's an understatement). I think though it has a solid core that is buried deep within. Let's try to connect things in a different way for a try, and...

Re: Differing Views on The Return - and a poll for the Disappointed Support Group

Saying that there is a deeper meaning to Roadhouse discussions is a bit like a self-fulfilling prophecy: it has not happened (or been decoded) yet, but that does not mean it will not be so in the future. There could be a subliminal link somewhere though to what is going on in each part, who knows, I...

Re: To the Profoundly Disappointed: Are You Still Disappointed?

I think the elephant in the room here is that the door at the top of the staircase is the very one that is in the painting given to Laura by Tremonds in FWWM, and that Laura undoubtedly goes through in her dream . Let's think about it for a second, Laura was there in FWWM! The door leads to the very...

Re: To the Profoundly Disappointed: Are You Still Disappointed?

I think BradD has a point, in that placing Bob as a part of the sludge that emanated following the blast, contradicted or nullified the previous mythological backstory that Hawk originally brought up, unless the blast was depicting an archetypal event that is in essence timeless ("this is what ...

Re: To the Profoundly Disappointed: Are You Still Disappointed?

About the Laura orb, I never thought it was about the "original Laura", it simply looked to me that it was about incarnating Laura's spirit into Carrie Page (where the orb landed somewhere in Texas apparently), so it strictly had something more to do with Part 18 than with the pilot and FW...

Re: To the Profoundly Disappointed: Are You Still Disappointed?

The issue with S3 is that it is simply not captivating. Could it have been? Of course. But it was, if I may finally infer so, purposely not made as such. It ended up being bland, tasteless, aimless, and just plain boring. However, if you look at Part 8 on its own, if is quite fascinating, thrilling,...

Re: To the Profoundly Disappointed: Are You Still Disappointed?

TFD gives the feel like MF has scrambled to finish it in little time.

TSHOTP is quite good, and what I really appreciate it for is its page 261 (the entire chapter, but that page in particular), as it drops some major hints as to what may be going on in Part 18.

Re: To the Profoundly Disappointed: Are You Still Disappointed?

Just now I sort of wondered, how did Sarah get away with literally killing a dude in a bar? How does a coin magically suspend in mid air? Why does an insurance company executive seem happy to pay out a multimillion dollar claim? Love it or hate it, the entirety if TPTR is probably taking place in C...

Re: The Tremonds

It is definitely not the exact same pattern (I did not mean it that way for sure), but it does resemble it, especially from a bit away, the color palette looks to be the same. The wallpaper sports some roses and this one just has some random diamond-like shapes, I am still thinking it is not a coin...

Re: The Tremonds

When you rewatch some scenes you can sometimes see things that you did not before, and what I just saw is really weird. Here is the Buenos Aires scene where Jeffries has just entered the hotel, and having picked up the message is on his way to, I presume his room. Notice how there is an outline of ...

Re: Listen to the sounds....

The sound that we hear is that of a Bronze Caco frog, I have posted on it at http://dugpa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=123706#p123706, the video itself is still up at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1Sc78-TOFs&t=63s (the sound starts at 1:03 mark). It is one of the clues to S3 for me. Do you mean...
