Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I finally feel that I need to let go of Twin Peaks. This group has been amazing to participate in when trying to come to terms to what season 3 turned into. Thank you all for that! Sorry to say that I no longer is comfortable calling me a TP-fan as I cannot be associated with the atrocity that is se...

- those that didn't have anything to do with The Master, at any rate). Are you using "the master" in an ironical way? Because he truly is the master, as he''s shown us again (in his 70s!). We should all be grateful to live in a time where we can co-exist with one of the great creators in ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

So I have finally watched the last two episodes. I too struggle to come to terms on how awful the experience has been. The 10-minute sex scene between Cooper and Diane. Why? How many takes do you think they did? Pay attention to where the camera is most of the time in that scene. No, I don't think ...

The Green Glove Boy - Killer Bob showdown. Eh? Is this David Lynch's ironic fuck you to marvel comic blockbuster movies? Coudn...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Just watched episode 16. Getting angrier and angrier for each episode. The Audrey dance in the end felt like Lynch&Frost taking the final dump on their creation. Oh wait, there are two episodes left.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

With the demise of Chantal and Hutch, I'm left wondering - has Lynch been waiting since 1994 to let us know he's not that keen on Tarantino? Honestly, what was the point of these two except to carry out acts of pointless violence, bitch about fast food, then get dispatched in an over the top shower...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I think laziness pretty much sums up this show. Sloppy dialogue and pointless build-ups followed by even more pointless resolutions (if they even are bothered with). No, it all feels very lazy which I guess often happen to artists when they have past their prime. No need to push the envelope any fur...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

That's 100% how I feel Agent Earle. And I imagine most of us are the same. Which is why it's so ridiculous when we keep getting told, 'Go watch Ironman 3!' I'm so glad you agree about The Shawshank Redemption. I immediately dismiss any meaningful friendship with anybody who rates this as the greate...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I am not engaged in the story because there is no story to be interested in. Almost overambitious? Oh yes I forgot. It is all too complicated for my little brain to process. So much to take in. I absolutely detest this season with all my heart. It is so awfully bad on so many levels. Episode 15 was ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

The Gazebo posted a list of about 10 points yesterday, and I could sign on a dotted line under them. He cited a lack of nighttime scenery, broken/fragmented feel, and a lack of atmosphere, among other things. Part 8 was not so much about the explosion, Space Odyssey had it almost 50 years ago, achi...

But maybe we don't want to discuss? Maybe we just want to vent our frustration? Why is that so hard to understand?

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

The answer is that I think it is re-enforcing the negativity. It might make those who frequent only a thread like this one to see each new episode through blue rose colored glassed, hating it by default. Funny thing, it was especially created because of people like you, who, for some time, are tres...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I guess I have to wait until 'Days of our lives' ends before I can pass judgment on it. I have some catching up to as I the last episode I saw aired in 2003. Even if the last episode were to be amazing it would not excuse the abysmal performance up to that point. My verdict is already in and...

Honest question. How can anything ruin a past experience?
I mean, just ignore S3.
