Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

This is hard confirmation as well that Cooper did indeed change history. Sort of undercuts the whole purpose of the show IMO. Ah well. Indeed, there's more than one problem in making the "ambigous lynchian ending" a hard fact, and the more I think of Frost's words on this, the more it tro...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

The Annie epilogue is corny to the point of being embarrassing. If that was Mark's best idea for her, I'm glad she was just swept aside in Season 3. I get why you feel that way, but I actually found it entertaining because of how meta and creepy the very end was: having her repeat "I'm OK"...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

I just listened to the whole audiobook (since the audible version was the fastest and easiest to get in my country) and so much of it made me think "how exciting it would have been to read that in The Secret History "... It's still pretty exciting to have so much new information, but now t...

Re: ALBERT appreciation thread

Albert's presence as a "genuine" character in the series is one of my favourite things about The Reurn. So many other Twin Peaks character seemed to be featured in a couple of scenes just for the sake of showing up, like short and pointless cameos in what used to be their own series, I'm r...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

I know this may sound like fanboy self-brainwashing but it goes like this: I think the parts of The Return that made me uncomfortable, frustrated, disagreeing strongly with the lack of screentime devoted to those I was hoping to see adressed, and the huge amount devoted to things I was much less int...

Re: New Merchandise Roundup (Officially Licensed)

Did anyone on this board order merchandise, especially T-Shirts? I live in France and, of course, Showtime won't ship outside the US. There's this site which seems to sell the fish-log-coffee design, and ships to France, but the trick is: I'd like to be sure I'll be ordering an official shirt, not a...

Twin Peaks Archive track by track blurbs?

Hi everyone. I apologize in advance if this question has been adressed/answered in the forum. I've been looking and haven't found it, but I might have missed something. Anyway, some of you probably remember back when the dl.com site had turned from a David Lynch experimentations hub to the host of t...

Re: "One" documentary in Paris

The show will feature both Lynch (One) and The Interview Project, so this would be, to my knowledge, the theatrical debut of the latter... But I am wondering if this will be a genuine Lynch-supervised copy of the Project, or some gross streaming webcast projected onto a screen.

New Lynch exhibit: "Femmes d'influence" in Paris

Lynch has been comissioned by the French department store 'Les Galeries Lafayette' to decorate the windows of its buildings on the boulevard Haussmann. According to the following site: http://www.metrofrance.com/onhold/femmes-d-influence-aux-galeries-lafayette-rend-hommage-aux-femmes/rifl!aBq4sENCyL...

Re: Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse Present Dark Night Of The Soul

Sooo... that's $50 on the official website with the free poster, and $31.50 on Amazon... Pretty expensive for a poster.... but I still want it... and I guess if we go through the official website the profits will mostly go to the creative forces... choices...

Re: DLF.TV Preview for Dugpa.com Readers

Thanks a lot for that opportunity to have a look around, dugpa. Unfortunately I'm not sure I'll ever go back there; there's just so much TM proselytism one can stomach, and there is absolutely no section where one can hide from it on this site.

Too bad.

Re: Lynch interview at the Guardian

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but the bit about Lynch being "done with films" might be more of an argumentative way to put it than a voluntary misquote. When I read this bit: Mulholland Drive ' an unparalleled triumph in my view ' was released in 2001; since then he's made some ent...

Re: Wild at Heart French Blu-Ray

I guess they are forced, there's also a french dubbed version without subtitles, so I guess it would be possible to rip the video from one version and the audio from the other... but I've watched the blu-ray this instant (the video club down the street just got it, so I just rented it) and compairin...
