We got a little off-track there. Posts in this thread are for the discussion of Lynch (one) and possibly extras on IE if there is a connection. Thanks! Sorry! :D My part of the UK being the cultural back yard it is, I don't expect to see Lynch #1 play ANYWHERE at all! So I'll be waiting for the reg...

Lynch on Lynch is my favorite. I'm curious to see if anyone will place anything above it.

I don't understand this talk of product placement. Product placement is normally discussed in terms of a feature film. Real products are placed as a form of advertising within a film. This is an advertisement (for Gucci perfume), which Lynch has done all along throughout his career. Nothing new here...

Did David Lynch made the CD cover himself? If so he should stick to movie making only  I don't like the Gold Box design but it's far better then this poor "attempt". A bit harsh maybe but  Right. We may not like the concept of the gold box design but at least the execution of ...

David Lynch, for one. Don't know that he was involved with this but it's quite similar to his awful Inland Empire cover (overlaid images) and that "M U S I C" reminds me of his regrettable motel-type Eraserhead "2000" type treatment. I love David but perhaps graphic design shoul...

OMG !!! That cover art is more nauseating than the "throw-back" jerseys that the Philadelphia Eagles wore on Sept. 23. Three iconic images each overlaid on top of each other infused with a shimmering white light. That is hideous. As soon as I see something that bad I long to see the artwo...

I bought Eraserhead on VHS from them years ago. Was happy with it. I would like to get On the Air, but the price is a bit steep for their 2-disc DVDs, imo. (And I'm afraid I won't like it.)

Lynch interviews/articles

Just read an interview with David in the new Filter Magazine (Band of Horses is on the cover). 3 pages, ok interview... Filter Issue 27 (latest issue) We traverse into the monumental mind of filmmaker David Lynch to talk about the motivation behind his mystique and get a glimpse into the deepest lev...

Re: Possible IE dvd defect?

Hi-- My Disk 1 of IE has defects. At least five places during the movie, the disk stops playing as if there was a scratch or something on the disk. I have to push the "Step" button on my remote to advance the movie to the next frame, and then press "Play"--and then the movie kee...

So, I watched Dune yesterday. Note that I have not read the book... I can definitely see where he could have taken it to great places (or at least better places) with a longer running time and creative freedom. Not without getting rid of those horrible voice overs and rewriting a lot of the dialogu...

Happy (for now) Dune is the only Lynch film I've never seen. As I am in the midst of one of my strongest Lynch-phases ever, I have felt recently (for the first time) that I have to see it. Anyway, I was able to buy a copy online for $4 today. Now, whether I'll be happy after watching the movie may ...

Re: Norwegian camera operator makes a cameo in the film

David Lynch worked with two Norwegian camera operators, Odd-Geir Sæther and Ole Johan Roska. Odd-Geir speaks Norwegian (to Ole Johan) in very a brief scene with Jeremy Irons and some other guy (I believe it's John Churchill). It was pretty funny since I'm from Norway myself, and I remember everyon...

The cover art for the UK release is much better than the R1 edition... I have the Virgin exclusive version, with the black & silver design. It looks fantastic - far superior to the Region 1 version. However, I still prefer the rear sleeve on the US edition, and it goes without saying that my Re...
