Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I would only hope that Season 4 could be the real 'return to Twin Peaks' and bring back some of the warmth of the town and Cooper, in contrast to the darkness. Are we done moving the goalposts for what constitutes "real sequels" yet or He didn't put forth any reservations about S 3's esta...

Re: Season 3 Magazine Coverage and Articles Worldwide

Wow, who'd have thought we'll hear Frost practically directly come down on Lynch and his attitude towards S 2! Here it is: "But I also think it's bad form to bad-mouth your own work, especially when it's putting bread on your table, even if you weren't or didn't feel that you were particularly ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Not gonna lie though, as satisfying of an outlet as this thread has been, now that I don't feel the urge to use it, it's kinda depressing to see it always bumped to the top. Selfish, yeah, but it is what it is. LOL. There's nothing like a troll dropping in from time to time to keep the fire going :D

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

As a once avid (and slowly returning as a moderately interested) gamer, I'm very curious as to which 2002 title might that be...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Funny how expressing one's own wishes and expectations regarding this property earns a tag of "selfishness" from the worshipers crowd (like it isn't something all of us have been doing in 90 % of the cases). As long as their expectations are well served...

Re: POLL - Do you Like Season Three and How long have you been watching twin peaks.

Funny how tastes differ. It was MD that, together with this new Peaks, has turned me off Lynch for quite some time (maybe forever). After witnessing the two (I watched MD for the first time approximately one year before the premiere of The Return), I have absolutely zero desire to check out those fi...

It's those demanding nostalgia and fan service that will turn Lynch off. Frost too, listening to him talk.

Wow, THX for making me feel so important. At least the whole Return shebang was good for something!

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Why are we not allowed to question the tenuous claims of the disappointed? Why should this website be a safe space for them? Many here were free to question these, as you say (I, of course, don't agree) "tenuos" claims, got into long discussions with the disappointed ones, made productive...

If you can believe that (Lynch walked away). I myself have strong reservations about his sincerity with that particular move...

Re: POLL - Do you Like Season Three and How long have you been watching twin peaks.

This new Twin Peaks, namely series three and both Frost books that came along with it, is all one giant MEH to me - not exactly bad, but it just wasn't worth the epic, 25+ years-long wait. Not by a long shot. Hence, I couldn't care less if it gets picked up again, something that was unthinkable for ...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

In my view, nothing is as essential to the world of Twin Peaks as the first two seasons.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Ok so I had a bit mixed feelings after the show but was leaning towards liking the whole thing. But as days have gone by I have noticed this odd feeling of just not being interested in Twin Peaks much at all. This season basically killed all my will to dwell into theories about the show. I have bee...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

OK... So what went wrong during S 2 then, since their collaboration has proven to be such a success the first time around? Why not simply stick to the winning formula? What on Earth was stopping them/throwing obstacles their way so that S 2 veered so far off the successful path (I personally don't t...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

Since we have no way of knowing what has and what hasn't been common knowledge, I'd like to abstain from speculation; some hardcore fans are aware of the fact, that much I can safely say, but that's about all. As for the truth of which Frost speaks being reflected in journalism, I disagree - I have...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

Well now, in this latest interview Jerry just posted a link to, Frost puts paid to all the rumors about Lynch not being present during the filming of S 2 'cause he was "off filming Wild at Heart" so that's why the show went to shit. Frost actually says Lynch was off during much of S 1 fil...
