Wow. With an opening this strong, I wonder how powerful would the real arguments be.

It's real bad.

That's the argument.

And the movie from 2017 is way worse. That's an even better argument.

Re: Tom Sizemore accused of molesting 11yo

Yeah. It's a little bit too close to a fad/witch hunt for comfort, that's for sure. At a first sign of the moral panic, I'm off the bus - and there's been more than a few.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

The abhorrent current adaptation of Stephen King's IT Compared to the godawful miniseries, you mean. As a matter of fact, I think the 1990 miniseries was in every way superior to the 2017 dreck: not only decidedly more faithful to the fable of the novel (the new one made liberties with the material...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

I find Stranger Things a very successful attempt to cash in on the superficial hipster-ish fad of throwbacks to the "golden 80's" that caters well to the nostalgia crowd but is otherwise pointless and devoid of practically any originality and meaningful content. The abhorrent current adapt...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

No, I did not take it personally (not sure where you got that from, it is just a show after all). Neither should L&F take any criticism personally either (if they were to read it on these boards). You missed my point though: Dougie should have been on the DVD box itself as the "probably mo...

Which is what you wanted, but not what they wanted. Yet you blame them on a daily basis for following their artistic instinct. It is their lives, their creations and it is voluntary whether to be part of the audience or not. Once again Eyeboogers you come after the disappointed fans in their own an...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Wow, I’m surprised CBS let that footage onto the discs. It cuts against the “creator-friendly network” vibe Showtime has been trying to cultivate with this show. Nothing surprises me after hearing a couple of actresses say on the Gold Box edition how much the second season of Twin Peaks sucked :-)....

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Agreed all-around with Mr. Reindeer's post - excellently put! Though I've had series from the pre-1999 (the year The Sopranos premiered) TV past I enjoyed and loved dearly - a few examples: Upstairs, Downstairs; Tales from the Crypt; I'll Fly Away; Picket Fences; Northern Exposure; a whole lot of Br...
