Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)

I don’t think it’s realistic to expect him to want to jump right back into that again so soon, nor to expect that L/F would come up with an idea and bang out a script in a matter of months given their insistence on grueling perfectionism last time. Ahem. I hate to be a sourpuss, but one would think...

Re: Original Season 3 Plans

Jean Renault is one of the most underrated characters in the TP lore in my opinion (much more memorable than Jacques). I wish they would've used him more - what a great, savory nemesis for Cooper. Each second he's on screen was immediately ingrained in my memory for all eternity and it's always gre...

Re: "Room to Dream" about 'Twin Peaks' (SPOILERS)

WOW! What a bomb Peyton just dropped. Though I'm definitely in a camp that cherishes non-Lynch contributions as well as Lynch ones and I was anything but pleased with Lynch taking it out on Season Two (my favourite part of TP cannon) the way he did just prior to Season Three premiere, it saddens me ...

Re: "Room to Dream" about 'Twin Peaks' (SPOILERS)

Since you're speaking of Ontkean: is there any indication WHATSOEVER as to the reason(s) he dropped out of S3 production? The matter's driving me bugshit! :)

Re: Original Season 3 Plans

Even sections of Season 2 that a lot of people find cringe-worthy, I still have a whole lot of appreciation for. One thing that comes to mind is Dead Dog Farm. That was a very interesting set, especially what the realtor lady had to say about it... about how the best and worst people are drawn to i...

Re: What actors/actresses would you like to see in a season 4..?

I don't see why this topic has to come into play when discussing TP or Lynch's work in general. Of course, all of the viewers/fans are free to discuss whatever they like, but I personally place little to no value on such topics. To me, the only real measure for assessing a work of art - in this case...

Promotion of a show that is supposedly over after a year and a half.Hmm... The copyright now says 2018. Is that some hint? I mean, I dont know how copyrights work. Well, they certainly didn't have a lot of opportunities to talk and promote the show prior to its airing or when it was on, did they. I...

Re: What actors/actresses would you like to see in a season 4..?

Hawk had probably corrected them a hundred times and eventually gave up. Like the “bunny” scene, I think the “joke” is that Hawk has to bear their cluelessness in subdued annoyance while he tries to solve the mystery. I also think it’s significant that L/F grew up in a time when the label “Indian” ...

Re: What's next? What chance do think there is we will see a season 4?

That's actually pretty intriguing, but I'm dismayed by the term "comedy" used in the pseudo trailer. Not such a big fan of Lynch's goofball brand of humour (nor, as a matter of fact, comedies in general - the genre mainly just tires me).

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group

Sheesh. What a useless, pointless, dispiriting discussion. Let's get back to debating about Twin Peaks, shall we - in all its magnificent (S1 & 2, FWWM) and not so magnificent (S3) incarnations.

Re: Original Season 3 Plans

I've become convinced (especially after S3) that Peyton and Engels may have been the true geniuses behind the original run and responsible for all the things I love so much. I thought it was Mark Frost at first, but maybe it's them. Lynch sets a great mood, but it seems he did very little writing a...

Re: One year later - how are we feeling?

I don't see anything careful and planned in the awful way of keeping Harry Truman around through use of a hokey plot device that is some mysterious illness that makes him impossible to be seen, just "heard" through telephone calls, and in the even more awful way of filling the void of his ...

Re: How would Lynch/Frost tackle Season Four?

I don't think Lynch/Frost will ever let anyone who isn't them touch the property again, and that's fine. Since they're so possessive of their franchise (and I'm not denying them their right to be that way), it's really weird how they - and Showtime - apparently don't have any problems with certain ...
