Re: Part 5 - Case files (SPOILERS)

It seemed that the scene was somehow for the development of Tammy's role/character; there's no way it's just fanservice. Will we see Richard Chamberlain again?

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (SPOILERS)

So what fate would have met Cooper had he ignored her warnings and gone through the 15? Apparently, his current fate as DroolCoop is the one she thinks is safer.

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (SPOILERS)

:) Keepin' it In(land) the family.

Also, pretty sure, as Coop approaches the 15 speaker, she gestures decapitation (with matching sound effect) as a warning (not a threat). Lots of floating heads around. She seems to be warning Cooper and makes sure he takes the path of 3 vs the path of 15.

And Phoebe Augustine is her doppelganger who talks of her mother. Mom. Gerard's tattoo. Mom. Palindrome. Bob. Something is afoot.

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (SPOILERS)

Based on the cast list, the woman in the room with no eyes who is replaced by Phoebe Augustine as "American Girl" is probably this actress: Nae Yuuki. The character's name is Naido which, in Japanese, means "a ruler's private property."

"Your dharma...????????"

Love this scene. Really curious to see if we'll ever see more of him, but it was exactly the kind of comedy I needed. Up there with "It's not the bunny."

Well her arms only bend back sometimes.

Has anyone looked through the book with 3D glasses on? There's something peculiar about the colors at play.

Re: Critique of John Thorne's Essential Wrapped in Plastic

Thanks, AXX°N N. and CuriousWoman for your feedback. I agree that the episode guide is not necessary (less the interviews associated with each episode). Quick-and-dirty episode synopses have their place, and I appreciate the act breakdown, but details are missing. They don't even need to be longer, ...

Critique of John Thorne's Essential Wrapped in Plastic

This review contains spoilers for the original series of Twin Peaks. I really struggled with this one. I was looking forward to it as I have always found Thorne to be an engaging interview guest in blogs and podcasts. 3/5 of the book are a reworking of the episode guide published in the Wrapped in P...

Re: Theatrical viewing spoils home viewing?

It was a very beat-up print and SO much of it looked like it was shot on film. I'm anticipating a revelatory experience when I finally watch a Blu-ray. Some shots had that wide-angle/handicam DV feel, but anything locked down felt truly filmic in an otherworldly way. It also looked more filmic if th...
