Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
So is the general consensus that Richard and Carrie ended up in "our" world? I'm not saying they realize they are (or were) characters in a TV show, but maybe the existential horror they exhibit in the very last scene suggests they're realizing they're not in their "correct" univ...

Re: Emmy Nominations thread
I don’t think you need to display a “maelstrom of emotions” to be nominated for an acting Emmy. Jon Hamm was nominated for all eight seasons of Mad Men, and while he occasionally had big emotional moments (particularly in the two episodes he won for), it was mostly an extremely subtle, low-key perf...

Re: Emmy Nominations thread
These awards shows are gross. LA is full "for your consideration" billboards plastered across town during awards season for specific shows and all that crap. I don't know how much the Peaks team waded into that mud, but if they didn't and that's what contributed to them getting the shaft, ...

Re: Caroline & Carrie
I think Carrie was just another woman Coop the saviour tried to rescue. So in that sense, I do think she's similar to Laura, Annie, Caroline (and Maddy), all of whom appeared in the S2 finale during Coop's personalised Black Lodge trial of horrors: all the women he failed to save. I guess you could ...

Re: Black Lodge/White Lodge mythology
For me... Black Lodge = Red Room/Waiting Room/chevron floors and red curtains. White Lodge = Fireman's House. Convenience Store = a separate hideout for evil spirits that serves as some kind of nexus or thoroughfare. That being said, I don't think they are each necessarily disconnected from each oth...

Re: POLL: The Nature of Audrey's Situation (Spoilers)
Hi all. Came across this Reddit thread yesterday that talks about connections between Audrey and the Evolution of the Arm. https://www.reddit.com/r/twinpeaks/comments/7qh8z9/all_audrey_and_the_arm/ Parts of it are a real stretch, but I've suspected Fenn voiced the uncredited role of the Evolution of...

Re: Tom Sizemore accused of molesting 11yo
Also, now Robert Knepper (Rodney Mitchum) is up to 5 women accusing him of sexual harassment/assault. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/four-more-women-accuse-actor-robert-knepper-sexual-misconduct-1064277 It seems the incident from 2010 is straight up rape. Unfortunately cases that old are ha...

Re: POLL: The Nature of Audrey's Situation (Spoilers)
My understanding is that she didn't like the length or content of her part. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong, but she was supposed to be running a beauty salon and was supposed to have Sylvia's part. Audrey's situation is pretty well handled in shorthand with her dance where we are witness ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)
This is so sad.Games of thrones had the weakest season and it got nominated.Same with stranger things,it was just popcorn entertainment with all the stuff copied or referenced from the 80s.Twin peaks on the other hand was some serious art that made people think and question things.Lynch and Frost d...

Re: POLL: The Nature of Audrey's Situation (Spoilers)
I don't buy the Audrey into Ronette theory. There are good ideas in it, but I think it is too far fetched. When Audrey got awake, the mirror was not in a lodge fashion, and she was in a kind of hospital dress. She wasn't in the purple world. I don't understand why she would be in another place than...

Re: POLL: The Nature of Audrey's Situation (Spoilers)
Hi all. I just watched this YouTube video entitled "How's Audrey?" and it's pretty interesting. User Kora Kata points out some pretty crazy stuff of how Audrey and Charlie's house/seating arrangement matches that of Coop and LMFAP in the Red Room.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
First time in this thread so sorry if I repeat any tired arguments. Most of my friends loved it, others thought it was bullshit. The difference separating them is that those who disliked it went in with more expectations, I think: whether it was cherry pie or a storyline structure that's even passa...

Re: Poll: Worst Roadhouse performance
I liked all the songs and don't really mind that a lot of them didn't fit the mood of the original TP. New show, new vibe.
