Re: Poll: Worst Roadhouse performance

I had to vote Lissie because the poll was for worst performance. Her lip-syncing and on stage acting was terrible. If the poll was for worst song I would have probably went for the second Au Revoir Simone song or the horribly auto-tuned Rebekah Del Rio song. Also - why was Hudson Mohawke not listed ...

Re: FINAL POLL!!!!!!! Your Reaction to The Return as a Complete Work

i really like how sublime it is. some of these things are explained but it's not explicitly spelled out for us.. we know Mister C is searching for the negative entity represented on the card, on the note in Major Briggs tube and on Hawk's map and we also learn that he would find it in the Palmer ho...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I just listened to Brad Duke's episode on part 17 and it was very cathartic to hear someone so prominent in the Twin Peaks fandom have all the same issues I have with it. Made me feel less alone, which is something other people have said about my podcast. So now I know how they feel. :) Yeah. I jus...

Re: FINAL POLL!!!!!!! Your Reaction to The Return as a Complete Work

Heavily mixed, leaning towards dislike. Possibly even hate. I had so much fun running home on Sunday nights and watching it. The sound, the mood, everything was so so good. As messy as the occasional episode was we'd rewatch them the next evening and soak it in. Such a glorious addition to the summe...

Re: Annie and Dale

The inconsistencies and lack of continuity from episode to episode in the original (especially season 2) are constant. I think that's part of the reason why I don't understand this particular criticism of The Return. With that being said, I'm firmly in the camp of those who wanted Annie to get some...

Re: Annie and Dale

Lana winning MTP was just something Mark said at book store appearances. It's not in the book. And I also don't believe the book ever says Norma has no sister -- it just retcons Vivian out of existence. Which is odd, but doesn't necessarily affect Annie one way or the other. Honestly, Episode 29 fe...

Re: Annie and Dale

I understand the point you are trying to make about the "how's Annie?" catchphrase during the cliffhanger finale. But that is not what I am talking about. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that for 23 years I've been watching Norma's sister Annie start working at the Double R diner...

Re: Annie and Dale

It would've been so easy to just simply have Naido turn out to be Annie while leaving what happened to real Diane being just simply she was taken to convenience store and tulpa created of her to wed half sister Janie-E to Dougie. I That I think would've worked much better while changing little. Thi...

Re: Twin Peaks The Return: The Mixed/Moderately Disappointed Thread

I am so glad to see this thread. Count me in. I enjoyed much of TP:TR and loved running home every Sunday night with my best gal to watch it. We would stream it Sunday night and then rewatch it Monday evening. It seemed to be coming together in Part 16 but then, for me, it just kind of fizzled. Ther...

That Cooper/Janey E/Sonny Jim scene was heartbreakingly beautiful!

The Mitchum Brothers/Cooper/Candy scene was hilarious and beautiful!

Audrey's dance was so strange and beautiful and shocking!

I just... wow!
