Re: ALBERT appreciation thread

great character (Like Joe Friday but with no tolerance for the simpleminded) but he was definitely watered/tamed down for The Return (not sure if this had to do with MF's own health problems)

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)

So, the whole story from Twin Peaks I on through to Twin Peaks Return just became a Star Trek/Back To The Future II alt-timeline thing???... oy vey!! PS..nothing worse than having a bunch of actors stand around for 5 minutes doing lameass reaction shots ("pretend you're all looking at something...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

Speaking of dreams, what if all this is in the mind of Leo, still chained up after all these years and waiting for the spider cage to drop? ;)

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

(Also, I hope this ends speculation that Ed is possessed because his reflection moved by itself for a fraction of a second) JFC!!!!! Not one single person on here said Big Ed was possessed. NOT ONE. We talked about strange things happening to everyone in Twin Peaks and it showing up in things like ...

Re: Part 14 - We are like the dreamer (SPOILERS)

Sorry, but I felt that same way about Naido in the real world (especially the jail cell scene) as I did about seeing the bearded woodsman in the middle of the day..all the creepy/eerie/menace was gone, and it just looked kinda goofy.

Re: Part 13 - What story is that, Charlie? (SPOILERS)

As a side note, effects animator Ray Harryhausen once complained about nerdy basement dwelling fanboys who would relentlessly stopframe his work looking for flaws, and then run up to him at conventions to proudly tell him of all the things they found.

Re: RE: Re: Part 13 - What story is that, Charlie? (SPOILERS)

I'm staying in the "there's nothing to the final Big Ed scene except a guy who's mulling over his life and losses" group. People are looking for (and apparently finding) something that isnt there. I could definitely be in full tinfoil hat mode, but I thought the initial Diane being bad th...

Was anyone else waiting for that suit of clothes in the shadows in Sara's living room to start walking?

Re: Part 11 - There's fire where you are going (SPOILERS)

02) The Woodsmen are creeping or frightening some viewers out, while others are finding them extra-y and comical. Jurgen Prochnow was comical in FWWM. I was hoping for Das Boot. Instead I saw what looked to be an imitation of a Chinese lucky cat. So to me, nothing new except they still haven't foun...

Re: Part 11 - There's fire where you are going (SPOILERS)

That's why I don't like the woodsmen. I honestly think it's cause they are extras either overcompensating or with little experience or something ..as I mentioned earlier..seeing them in broad daylight definitely takes away any air of menace from them (compare to the shooting of Bad Coop or the radi...

Re: Part 11 - There's fire where you are going (SPOILERS)

Gotta be honest, I found some elements in Episode 11 annoyingly contrived (the Mitchum Brother's dream, Hawk's Magic Organic map)...plus seeing the woodsman out in broad daylight kinda takes away from their menace..oh well, bring on episode 12.

Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)

Subversive and surprising. Loved it. Can we talk about the "water and the well" poem? I found it and the guy both unspeakably horrifying. Why did it make people pass out/die? It seemed to be egging the frog-bug on, or buying time, or guiding it into the girl's mouth (also horrifying). eve...
